The other snack food that Disney does a million times better than anyone else is churros. Nothing compares to theirs. Anyone got a picture I can drool over?
If you have a Costco Warehouse near. Try their churros. They are so good. Crunchy sugary sweetness outside, pillowy softness inside. Yummy.

Where do you get them from??? We bought some from one of the carts last summer and they were GROSS! Got my money back... But, then again we live in Tucson so they are familiar food... We DO LOVE the Costco Churros though.

Ctsplaysinrain-
I have gotten a churro. At the mexican pavilion. As, I have heard on this board, that they are delicious. However, I was unimpressed. I prefer the churros at Costco. I seriously think if others would taste the churros at Costco. They would like those better.

as far as it moving, i couldn't tell that it was moving at all. i'm not saying that it didn't.....i just couldn't see it. i worked in the food service industry all throughout college and, as disgusting as it may seem, stuff like this is going to happen when you are serving massive amounts of people. i'm sure it's not a regular occurance at spoodles. i've never eaten there but DH and i are trying it in april.

now having said all that, i hope i don't get anything moving on my plate!
I agree with you. While I've never been to Spoodles, that could happen anywhere. I prefer the rings too also, but I will eat the tentacles. Now DF, he won't eat calamari just because it's squid, and that's disturbing to him. I couldn't see it moving either.

DD14 and I love calamari, but when we order I swap her some rings for tentacles. I LOVE the tentacles!!!!

I've never been a fan of calamari - don't mind the tenancles, but it just always tastes rubbery to me. Same reason I don't like octopus sushi. Bring on any other kind of sushi though! Esp that platter from the Califormia Grill! Wow!

Love the pics though! I was a long time fan of food porn I. Long live food porn II! I can't wait til my trip in June when I can take some pics to contribute more to this thread than just chit chat!

I must say, if that was still alive I am VERY impressed with the freshness of the seafood sold here!!! I wonder if you have to keep shellstock on squid...

Fairy_Tale_Bride - was the strawberry soup good? My DH fell in love with the cold fruity soups on DCL. He would be willing to eat at 1900 if this was worth it!!!

I guess I'm gonna have to try strawberry soup. Doesnt look or sound appealing to me but everyone else seems to rave about it - so I guess I'll give it a try.

Yes, thank you for responding!!!!!!!!!! This looks great. We usually get sushi as an appy to share, but next time I think we'll have to over-order because this looks fantastic.
Wow that sushi does look good (and shrimp tempura rolls are yummy- as well as sweet potato rolls!) But I think I might blow a blood vessel in my eye paying $93 for sushi. I do love it, and it is expensive, especially at Disney, so I'd rather spend that money elsewhere and go to the all you can eat sushi place, where I can get endless sushi (including tempura shrimp and salmon) for $23. But then again, I can be stingy haha

Oo...Costco churros are yummy, but there's nothing like getting a churro in disney. Bummer they want to charge you a snack credit for the 50 cent chocolate dipping sauce. Costco very berry sundaes are good too! And I always get my soda!

Haha I have a funny story about the first time I ate calamari. I used to refuse to eat because it was squid too and it weirded me out. Well my dad came home with leftovers and was like, You've got to try this! I was hesistant so he told me they were buffalo chicken-o's! Well I ate the buffalo style calamari and was shocked at how good they tasted! . I was shocked even more when he told me what they were . But in the end they were so yummy I over came my anxiety and now I love them. Although the whole ones still freak me out a little bit.

However I wouldn't avoid Spoodles on that account. It was one of the best meals I had during my entire trip. (And now so I don't get yelled at for posting without pictures:

The red snapper from Spoodles:

The pork chop (with roasted potatoes):

The Fancier's cake (or whatever it's called):

The gelato (roasted almond with tart cherry sauce and almond brittle):

I fell in love with DLR, whats not to love. Fantasyland, Toontown, Nemo and so much more. Both parks and DTD are full of little Disney touches that make it truly Walt's park. Mickey Pretzels, Mickey Gingerbreads, Mickey pancaks. Yummy. It is truly th
