I think the bus is faster..taking the boat to MK or CR is nicer and more enjoyable if you're not in a rush.

The Trout Pass Pool Bar hours are seasonal and may close early. Remember if it is closed Territory Lounge can make take-out drinks.

Does anyone happen to have a layout of the lobby area? Reason I am asking is because I didnt know how to get the pool from our room? Do you go thru the lobby in your swim suite?

You don't have to go through the lobby! We did the first few days though, before we figured out that the elevators in the right wing......OK, you are in the lobby, looking straight out to the pool area. The right wing when facing that way, doesn't that make sense?

So in the right wing, about half way down the hallway are a set of elevators that come out right near the pool. Sort of near the pool slide entrance, there is a path, that takes you to the restrooms, and there is an entrance right there, elevators right there.

Not sure if the left wing....the one closer to MK, has that elevator mid way down or not....???

Wilderness Lodge transport

I've read conflicting reports on various aspects of the transportation from Wilderness Lodge. The majority of sites claim there is only a boat service from the Lodge to the MK, is this correct or maybe just outdated and there now IS a bus service from WL to MK?
Also with regards to the boat service, do the boats come regularly and get you to MK in plenty of time or is there the chance of missing one boat because it's full and waiting around for another.I'd like to get to the park first thing but would be concerened the trip wouldn't be a quick as a bus. Also do the boat schedules adjust for extra magic hours.
Any help is appreciated,thanks!

There is a bus from WL to MK. And there's also definitely a chance that a boat could be full and you could miss it and have to wait. That was happening to me last year when I was going to MNSSHP. There was a looong line. I had just gotten there and didn't know if there was a bus to MK, but I finally went over to the bus stop and found out there was one, and got there so much faster than if I'd waited for the boat.

The bus is really fast.

Bunk beds

I am off to Disney for the first time in over 20 years and look forward to staying at WL.

I called yesterday and changed a few things with my package and they said we had rooms with bunk beds. I have 3 young children (6, 4, 2) and I am not sure how I feel about it. I never requested this room. Does the bunk bed have a safety railing?

The direct bus to MK is much faster than the boat. It is not as much fun, but in the morning I like to get to the park as quickly as possible. We always take the boat when returning to WL. It gives you a chance to unwind and relax.

The bunk beds have a safety railing. I think the bunk beds are great for the kids. I think they get a better nights sleep when they sleep in a bed alone instead of sharing. I know for my 2 daughters it works out great. It also cuts down on the monkey business which tends to happen when they share a bed...such as "daddy....she is taking all the blankets" or "daddy....she keeps coming on my side of the bed" etc..............

oh...and mmwood68 welcome!!!!!! I just realized it was your first post.

Deb's site has photos of rooms. Scan down, you'll find the link to the bunks.

Does anyone have any really good room pics. I am trying to convince my wife to stay at WL this year and she just isn't exactly enamored with the room pics I have shown her on the normal sites (allearsnets, wdwinfo, etc) . I am almost positive that the rooms are better looking in person, but it is hard to convince her of that. Quite frankly, I also think they look a tad on the boring side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
