Scott,

She's actually doing very well with the shots, they dont' seem to bother her, us more, but not her (they are very tiny needles). Loving your report.

Kerry,

I've been learning a lot this past week and this and know that our Abbey can live a long life if we take care of her. I am so jealous you are getting to go back so soon.

Well, I am finally finding a little time to post an update. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t have any pics (maybe one) so it should be quick. Now that I just found out that webshots went down last night for maintenance , and non of my photos are showing, this will definitely be quick (with no pics).

After DH and I visited Animal Kingdom Lodge, we headed back to our resort. Boy, it’s getting fuzzy the longer it has been, so I better get this TR done! We had a reservation at Ohana’s but not until 9:30 pm. Now, we haven’t been there in a couple of years and we loved it last time, but had read some not very good reviews. I also had read that if you are eating late in the night, the service just isn’t as good. I didn’t want this to happen. We decided to go to the Boardwalk and try and get in the ESPN Club.

We headed on over to the Boardwalk (but we didn’t make time to go inside, now I say we have to go back to see how beautiful it is inside, especially at Christmas time). We headed down to ESPN and were fortunate to get a seat after just a couple minutes. I’ve heard if a good game is on, you can wait a LONG time for a seat. We have found that with six eating this trip, we haven’t had as many option getting ADR’s.

This was our first trip to ESPN and boy was it sooo worth it. You can make a meal on just the appetizers here. I’ll do my best to remember what we had, but will tell you we had sooo much food left over, it was sad. (this is one of the downfalls of being on the dining plan and no one wants to ‘share’).

Since there were six of us, we just picked some things to share (they need bigger table there)! We ordered the Macho Nachos (2), Sideline Fries, ESPN Dingers and Red Wings (2). We should of stopped there, but no, we went on to order meals!!!

Trying to remember what each person had. DS1 and I both had the Home Run Hot Dog. IT does not say it on the menu, but this is a huge hotdog. I only ate part of the hotdog (recall, I can’t do the bread well). I think DH had the Extreme Reuben Sandwich; DD had the Grilled Vegetable Sandwich, DS2 probably had the Upper Deck Hot Roast Beef (without cheese) and DIL had the Angus Chuck Burger.

With the very many left overs, we weren’t going to have any desert, but DS1 LOVES ice cream and wanted to get the Sundae. Well, the rest of us decided to get our desserts to go (the best we could). No matter how sick you feel full from dinner, there always seems to be a little room for SOME dessert (not all of it).

We really enjoyed this one and probably will go back again on our next visit. Without the dining plan this would be a great place to eat, splitting an appetizer or an entrée.

Up next, our last day to visit the Magic Kingdom, a boat ride to Wilderness Lodge and another YUMMY meal!

Patricia,
I am glad to hear that it is going pretty well with Abbey. Dogs are usually such good patients. Usually a lot better than people. My father-in-law has diabetes and is a terrible patient. He eats all the things he shouldn't and doesn't monitor his sugar very well at all. He gives my mother-in-law fits, but what can you do? He is an adult and knows better.

Great update!

I've never eaten at ESPN. Glad to know it's good. Maybe we'll give it a try! Thanks.

Thanks Kelly. I know humans are stuborn when it comes to their health. I have a friend that is diabetic (use to work with her) and I can't tell you how many times we had to send her to the hospital due to extreme high or low blood sugar (via ambulance, caused she'd pass out). I have diabetes in my family tree (majorly) and keep an eye on it for myself and kids, but have been blessed that so far none of us has gotten it. But my poor dog did, that was amazing! lol. She's doing better each day. I hope to get started on day five later today.

Friday, December 14th (only one more day of Disney, starting to realize we just can’t do all that we want to do).

We had decided to do Magic Kingdom again today. It was very humid this day, but over cast on and off, so it was bearable, but being 80 degrees in December still was not my idea of comfort!

Once again, we did not make it to the park opening, but we were there shortly thereafter. I think my goals were a little unrealistic in wanting everyone to get to the parks at rope drop to really enjoy all that there is to do.

I wanted to get some photos with the characters, so we headed over to Toon Town. We should of taken the train from Main Street, but we don’t think that far ahead. So instead, we walked by the train.

We went through Mickeys house. I love how even his house was decorated for Christmas.

Then it was off to see Mickey!!!!

After we all got out pics with Mickey, he wanted a picture with just Aubre!!

I really don’t remember what all we did, that’s part of the problem with taking so long to finish a trip report. Every trip I say I’m going to keep notes so I can remember, but I don’t get around to it. We did take the train over to Frontierland.

Of course we rode BTMR. We didn’t ride Splash this trip because some of us got soaked on our last trip and didn’t want to be miserable. Tyler had wanted to do Tom Sawyer Island the past couple times and we just hadn’t gotten around to it. So, since we had no real plan (other than our lunch ADR a little later) we decided to spend a little time on the Island. We always wanted to find one of those paintbrushes (not even sure if they are still do that), but we didn’t this time. After this, we did the Haunted Mansion with no wait and then we were off to Pirates. It’s amazing how short the lines are when you do get there early in the day.

After this, it was time for a break, for ice cream!!! Remember I said that it was very humid, it was hard to keep up with your ice cream as it was melting so fast!

I wanted some pictures of us in front of the castle since it wasn’t real sunny so we wouldn’t be squinting so bad. Needless to say, we all got our pics taken when the photo pass guy wants to take one of JUST AUBRE (see a trend here)! Well guess what pics weren’t on my photo pass card. (were we on this trip)?

We walked over towards the Crystal Palace and got some more photos (these we are in, lol)

We then headed over to the Wilderness Lodge for lunch… Up next, yummy lunch!

great update and pics. I love the border on the last pic. I don't blame you on the SM and being wet, that is annoying the rest of the day.

Your pictures are great! I love the one of all of you with the border. That is such a nice family picture.
I hope that some day we get to have the girls pictures taken with Tink. Last time we were there we didn't slow down much to have photopass pictures taken.

Great update!
