Kind of gross but....

I have a 4 month old puppy I've had since she was 7 weeks old. She was dewormed when we got her. At about 3 months I noticed little white "worms" in her stool outside...I took her to the vet and had 3 fecal samples done all came back negative for parasites but they dewormed her for tapeworm again, just in case. Yesterday I noticed it again. I scoop their (I have 2 dogs) poop everyday, so the most the poop is sitting outside is 24 hours. Is it possible these are maggots, the piles are covered in flies when I scoop it? They are about 1/4 inch long, with the black dot at the head so I think they are maggots but I don't know. They are alive in the stool.

I've never noticed it in a "fresh" pile but I know they don't always come out with every poop either.

Same here! I have three dogs, and the flies only liked Polly's poop! I feed everyone the same too!

Oh, and I took a sample into the vets office, and the vet took one look and said it was flies.

They weren't going to but I insisted so yes both were treated, and both samples came back negative multiple times for the fecal test. The vet is going to think I'm nuts.
