Disney's Family Magic Tour?

Hello all,

We are thinking of doing this with our kids during our holiday trip to WDW.

Has anyone done this?
What was it like?
Would you do it again?
How much did it cost?
How long was it?

Any details you can provide would be of value.

April 2005 - WDW / June 2007- WDW / January 2008 - Cruise (Magic) / December 2009 - WDW / March 2010 - WDW / August 2010 - WDW / February 2011 - WDW & Cruise (Dream) / April 2011 - WDW / August 2011 - WDW / February 2012 - WDW & Cruise (Dream) / August 2012 - WDW / December 2012 - WDW & Cruise (Dream) / July 2013 - WDW / January 2014 - WDW & Cruise (Dream) / March 2014 - WDW & Cruise (Magic) / May 2014 - WDW 24hr Event / Aug 2014 x2 - WDW/ Dec 2014 - WDW / Mar 2015 - WDW / May 2015 - DLR

We went in 2011 and loved it. My girls were 5 and 7. My DH and I had just as much fun. I want to say it was about 2 hours and $35 per person? But my memory may be faulty.

I would love to do it again but I have not been able to get a clear answer about if it is a new adventure this time.

We had a meet and greet with a lovely young man in green (spoilerish) and I want to know if you still meet the same character. We were on the hunt for a hook. Any recent updates?

We did it when DD was probably 8 or 9 and enjoyed it. The main thing is that as an adult you have to be willing to play pretend and act silly too. DH and I were the only adults in our group that played along. The rest just trailed behind and several of the dads ended up leaving halfway through and doing their own thing.
Me (37) DH (40) DD (14)

2006- WDW CR (DD's 1st trip & my parents came) 2007- WDW SSR (1st trip 'home' & suprise trip for DD) 2008- WDW SSR (surprised DD w/her aunt) 2009- WDW SSR (inlaws) 2010- Our 1st ABD (Spirit of America) 2011- WDW SSR & BLT and our 1st Cruise (Disney Dream) 2012- WDW BLT (DD's surprise birthday trip); ABD Southwest Splendors 2013- DL GCV (Our 1st DL trip); Disney's Vero Beach; Disney Fantasy 2014- ABD Costa Rica

Its a treasure hunt with lots of walking that was an amazing amount of fun (for the money especially) on our last trip. So many surprises, although I know they change it up often so what we did will not be what you will do.

Depending on the ages of your children, I say go for it! We loved it.
