Anyone seen Cirque du Soleil's 'Delirium' touring show?
We've booked this for Manchester next week (as a surprise for my mum and dad, who loved La Nouba and Saltimbanco)
It's not the 'normal' big-top Cirque production, more of a musical extravaganza. If anyone has seen it, can you advise whther there's a pre-show or support act (the doors open 630pm but the show doesn't start til 8pm... is there any point being there before 745 or so?) and, how long was the show? Cheers! Mike

... I've found out now that it's 90 minutes long, but not whether there's a support act.

The cirque shows ive seen there has never been support and it is more like a theatre show than a band etc. We're going on the 12th in Birmingham prob get there earlish as you never know what happends in a cirque show.

We saw it on Friday. There was no pre-show at all. We went early as the other 2 shows we've seen had characters wandering about but there was nothing this time. You're right, it lasts 90 mins. Our show started 15-20 mins late.
We've seen Allegria and La Nouba. Hubby liked Delirium but liked Allegria best because of the acrobatics. I adored Delirium! It's my favourite so far :-) It really isn't like the other shows, the emphasis is on dance and music with acrobatics taking third place. But it's SO full of energy and really is multi-media. I'd go again in a heartbeat. Oh and the 2 cirque-newbies we had with us loved it as well! |

It was fantastic! And very difficult to describe... opera/circus/stage act? Absolutely mindblowing.... see it if you can!
