Day 3 Continued: Wolfgang Puck Express

Wolfgang Puck Express

We went back to our resort for an afternoon break and then headed to Downtown Disney around 4:30. We had already decided to try Wolfgang Puck Express and we were so happy we did!

DD: Cheryl had the Knife & Fork Chicken Caesar Salad (Sliced pan-roasted chicken breast, crisp romaine hearts, freshly grated parmesan, served on a toasted garlic and herb flatbread and topped with our signature Caesar dressing) She loved this!! The salad greens were fresh and crispy and the Caesar dressing was out-of-this-world good! The chicken was moist and flavorful but the flatbread was only so-so, Cheryl said it was very bland and there wasnít much taste to it.
Rating: 8 Ĺ /10

DS: Neil chose the 4-Cheese Ravioli (Mozzarella, Cheddar, Fontina and Gorgonzola) served with a wedge of garlic bread. He raved about it! He gave me a taste and I had to agree with him Ö it was awesome!! The garlic bread wasnít very good however; like Cherylís flatbread, it was rather tasteless.
Rating: 9/10

DH: Frank had the warm BBQ Chicken Sandwich (Sliced chicken breast in our sweet and tangy bbq sauce with melted provolone, tomato, and red onions,) which came with a side of homemade Yukon Gold potato chips. Frank loved every bite of this sandwich. He said the flavors all blended well and complemented each other beautifully. The chips were only so-so, but it didnít really matter because the sandwich was very large and very satisfying.
Rating: 9/10

Me: I had the Rosemary Rotisserie Chicken (Juicy and crispy-skinned half chicken, served with garlic butter and your choice of side.) I had garlic mashed potatoes with it. OMG, this was incredible!! The chicken was juicy and full of flavor and the mashed potatoes were amazing! I ate every bite of this and enjoyed it immensely.

Sorry, we'd already started eating before I remembered to take pics.

Dessert was a chocolate chip cookie.

This was our favourite CS location. The food was consistently good, everything was fresh and prepared when you ordered it instead of being made for the masses and kept under heat lamps. Thereís great variety and we all think itís an amazing value for a CS credit. We ate here three times during our ten day visit. The first two times we were here, the only dessert being offered were chocolate chip cookies, but they were delicious so we didnít mind at all. On our final visit, they gave us the choice of a cookie, a brownie or crŤme brulee.

One final thought; because everything is prepared fresh, this takes a little longer than the other counter service locations. This isnít a large place, so indoor seating in the air conditioning is very limited. We believe itís well worth it for the quality of the food you get, but if itís busy, it can be a little chaotic. You place your order, and they give you a card with a number on it to display on your table. You grab your dessert and drink before you sit down and they bring your entrťe to your table when itís ready. The also have wait-staff who will get you drink refills. Soda or lemonade is the only choice when youíre on the DDP.

Would we return? You betcha!!!!

Awesome reviews!

I need to make sure we find some time to get to Wolfgang Puck Express. Everything looked so good.

And I'm slightly regretting that we didn't choose Nine Dragons, but we're going with Le Cellier as our Epcot choice this time around. I'll have to remember Nine Dragons for a future visit.

Wow, Wolfgang Express looks awesome. We always take short trips and don't usually make it to DTD but those meals may make me detour over there.

Alot of nondisney owned restaurants weren't on at first this year either. They are still in negotiations, and more will be added!
