Rose and Crown

Just back from WDW. Ate dinner at Rose and Crown worst dinner I had on the whole trip. Living in England for four years I ate their steak and loved it. Not so at the world. The meat tasted wild. and forget the fish. It was so mushy. Like it had been frozen. I was so disappointed. The potatoe and leek soup was good. I am glad I was on the dining plan.

Sorry your meal was a disappointment. We haven't been in a couple of years to Rose & Crown, but I had the fish on the last visit and remember it as been flaky and the breading crisp...but not too crisp.

Sorry that you had such a negative experience.

We live in the UK (Scotland) and always avoid R&C. IMO food is certainly not authentic British food.

I'm a little concerned also! DBF and I have an ADR for Rose and Crown and I've been seeing alot of negative reviews also! I guess I'll just try to keep an open mind? Everyone has their own opinions, so I guess we'll just have to see......

We've had similar experiences at the R&C. I keep wanting to like this place but just can't.

I have my ADR all set so we can see Illuminations from there. Is this a bad idea.

We had a similar experience in August. The fish was mushy, breading soggy and surprisingly tasteless. My steak was so-so, it was a little tough and fatty but cooked perfectly medium as requested. We had an awesome server (Vicky from London) but even her wonderful service didn't save this disappointing meal. We won't be going back.
