I'm glad to see this thread back!

Thanks for the renovation video also, was good to watch!

We're there in about 3 and a half weeks and it looks great. For the amount of time we'll spend in the room (2 adults) it seems from the video that if we keep it reasonably tidy, then we shouldn't have a problem with space.

Really looking forward to seeing this resort now, going to have to take lots of pictures, looks like loads of fun, and that's only at the resort!!

DS and I stayed there in early February, and we liked it so much (especially for its value) that DW and I will go at Christmas!

I took a bunch of pictures at the resort, and I'll post them here during this upcoming week, as I have a bit of free time.

DW and I stayed there this last Dec and had no problem with space. I would say with two people you should have no problem at all with space.

Is it true that All-Star Sports was completely renovated? We stayed there in 2005 and I loved everything except sharing the buses. The last couple of years we have stayed at Pop Century. Are things really nice at Sports and would you take it over Pop? We are going in June and have ressies at Pop but now I am thinking maybe we should consider the other.

I really preferred All-Star Sports over Pop. First, the room was fresh and new (I'm quite sure all ASSp rooms are refurbished). Second, the whole resort seemed a lot cozier. Overall, the food court and gift shop are better at Pop, but not by enough (IMO) to make up for the other advantages. As for the busses, we didn't use them much (rental car), so I can't really compare.

I've stayed at Sports, Music, Movies and Pop. My preference in order are:

Sports
Music
Movies
Pop.

I have stayed at Pop and Movies.

Can you tell me why you prefer Sports over those two?

We are thinking of staying at Sports this year, but we really liked Pop and may go there instead.

The number one reason is because it is the first bus stop. In the morning there are enough people to fill the bus so the bus goes directly to the park instead of going to Music and Movies to pick up people. At the end of the day, it's the first stop to drop guests off. Another reason is that it has just been refurbished so everything is newer. When we stayed at Pop a few years ago, my DH complained about his back hurting because of the mattress. We could actually feel the wires in the mattress. We did not feel that in the mattress at Sports.

We also enjoy walking to other resorts, Music and Movies, to look in their gift shops and do pin trading. We are not into Sports so it really has nothing to do with the icons. We enjoy looking at the icons at all the Values though.

My sister and I will be staying at Sports the last of this month.

So you are picked up first, but then you have to sit there on the bus while it stops at two more resorts.
So wouldn't that add an extra 10-15 minutes?

Thats why I am thinking Pop is better for that aspect....?

Yes, you are picked up first but the point is that usually the bus gets filled up by guests from Sports so there is no room for anyone else, so it just goes straight to the parks and does not go to the other two resorts. I guess if you got on the bus later in the day, it would not be full so it would go to the other two resorts and then the park. We usually always go early in the morning though so no problem with it going to the other two resorts.
