I just found out about this convention and tried to back to the old board to read up about it, but it is temporarily out of service. I saw what the dates are and the resort, but is sign up already concluded? If not, could someone tell me what the costs are? I'm looking for any excuse to get back to Disney!! Thanks

The convention
is in November. It was talked about and the all of a sudden Pete got on the band wagon and then there was a convention. I happened to be using my points for DVC at the same time so I was interested in Events only which I was able to reserve with a deposit. I think there is a wait list for events. I suggest you check this webiste for more information and get on the wait list if it's something you would be interested in.

The Convention dates are 11/28/2001 to 12/02/2001 and the resorts we booked for the Convention are All Star Movies, Port Orleans Riverside and the convention hosting resort, the Yacht and Beach Club.
At this time the Convention remains closed, but in the near future, please stay tuned as the reservations will reopen.

Just a note to those of you who hope to get in on the events-only packages...if for some reason you are unable to make formal convention reservations, you will still be able to meet DIS'ers by attending some of the many mini-meets that are being planned.
 Search the threads on this board for more info. on this. I think you will find that there will be mini-meets for everyone....pin trading, roller coaster riding, roller coaster whimps meets , emu-eating meets :D , etc.
