screamin eagle jet boat who's done this?
Have you done this excursion? is it a large boat with several people or small boat. How thrilling is it?? Do you think will it scare a child. Does it make sharp turns at high speeds. that may scare her but not going pretty straight at high speeds.
Screamin' Eagle Jet Boat Embark on a thrill ride from your wildest dreams on the Screamin' Eagle. After a 10-minute walk to the dock, board this awesome 650 HP turbo-charged jet boat. Enjoy a brief orientation and cruise into the beautiful harbor while your captain shares the rich history of St. Thomas. Then it's off to tour the lush coastline at incredibly high speeds for 30 minutes filled with fun and excitement!

I think it's very similar to the Thriller Powerboat excursion offered (I forget where).

We did a Screamer Jet Boat excursion in Aruba (Princess Cruises). It's probably very similar. The boat held about 30 people. It is loud but other than that, I don't think it would scare anyone, even sharp turns, because it is so big.

We did the Jet Boat in St Thomas...here's an excerpt from my trip report...
We boarded our Jet Boat and were told that if we had anything that we didn’t want to get wet to leave it at the pier with the owner of the boat. Hmmm, you see I didn’t have time to do any research since we changed to the Eastern and I had planned for the Western, the only thing we knew about this tour is what was in the Excursion booklet, which said “You may get wet”. Hmmmm this is sooooo wrong. You WILL get wet and you WILL get soaked!! It was great though. We speeded out to where no other boats were and did some 360’s left and right and then we stopped, which of course made a huge tidal wave over the top of our heads LOL!! We did this for about 40 minutes and then returned back. We were going pretty fast and by the time we were close to the dock again we were drying off a little so he did 2 stops and 2 turns really quickly, you know, just in case anyone had some DRY spots LOL!! We were dripping wet when we got off and then took our taxi ride back to the Magic (only 12 mins back since all the traffic was heading in the opposite direction) I have pictures of it in my Slideshow....http://www.cassworld.ca/dcl2005.htm You have to scroll down to the bottom to see the pics, the jet boat pics start at #113. You can place your cursor inside the flash player, then hold down your right arrow key, that will fast forward! All of the kids on our boat were yelling "FASTER FASTER!!!!!!!!!"

I will have to remember this one. Sounds like something our family would enjoy.
