Fireworks or Fantasmic?

We will only be at DL for 3 days, and we just have Sunday to see one or the other. Which would you choose? Which might be better for a 1-year-old?

For a 1-year old, I would probably skip both. My niece was scared of the loud noises of the fireworks and too fussy to wait during Fantasmic or WOC.

My kids loved all the shows at 1 year old, F!, WOC and Fireworks. If you've ever been to fireworks you'll know if your kid is one of the few scared of noises.

Why are you choosing? Its not that hard to see F! at the first show then watch the fireworks in your spot. Or the other way around. Or are you choosing between F! and WOC?

He loved the 4th of July fireworks, so I'm not really concerned. We are going at the end of September and they only have one F! showing.

F! is from 9-10:30 and the fireworks are at 9:25.

I'm pretty sure they can't show Fantasmic! and the fireworks at the same time. Each time we've seen Fantasmic! we stayed in our spots and about 5 minutes later the fireworks started. They pipe the music for the fireworks through the F! speakers and they even do a little light show on the island. You can't see the castle, but all the fireworks themselves are visible.

I was going to say the same thing. They're both really loud.

That probably means there are two F! shows: one at 9; and one at 10:30. That would be the norm. The fireworks begin immediately after the end of the first F!, and the second F! begins about 50 minutes after the end of the fireworks.

(EDIT) Actually, we're there at the end of September, too. (Duh, I'm an idiot.) Sunday 9/28 has two F! shows, one at 9, one at 10:30. So you can see both F! and the fireworks if you want (if your little one can take the noise.) Just make your way to the second F! after the fireworks. It's pretty easy to do since you have so much time to make it to the Rivers of America. (We did just that a few weeks ago.)

Sometimes it can be difficult to keep a one-year old occupied for that long. If you have to choose one, and he's not easily frightened, I'd choose Fantasmic. It's just so much more to see.

Are you saying that if you went to the second fantasmic show after the fireworks, you still got good seating? I was wondering what to do about that, since we want to see both on a Friday night in September. I have read it is not as crowded for the second show, and I would like to see the fireworks from the front of the castle. Is that do-able or should I just go to the first Fantasmic and hope for the best on getting to the Castle. Thanks!

Yes, it's possible to do both, and based on your dates I would recommend the second F! Show after watching fireworks from the hub. It will be Remember, and you really need to see the castle to get the whole experience. Watch from the left side of the hub then join the masses into Frontierland where they will hold you until the first crowd clears out and you are let in. You won't get the best spot, but you'll be able to find somewhere with a good view.

Thank you so much! I really thought it was just one show that day. We will definitely try doing both now!

Thanks for the info! I am assuming--hopefully--that tinkerbell still flies during the beginning of the fireworks. For some reason, that is my "deal breaker" on every Disney trip. Don't know why---I just get all goosebumpy over it! That's why I want to see the Castle for the fireworks.
