AS Sports or POP?

I will be going to WDW with DS3 in March.

We just got back from a trip with DD1 and DH and stayed offsite and then at the CR.

For this trip, since it's just the two of us and we just returned from a trip, I'm debating between Sports and POP using the winter passholder discount.

I was pretty set on Sports, until I realized that we could walk from POP to see the Radiator Springs area of AoA.

Note that LM rooms aren't available with our discount and we may end up doing a split stay with a value/POFQ.

We have stayed at both and enjoyed both. Our DD's are really into sports and appreciated the large sports icons (especially the baseball pool / section); however, I think that POP is great value! The food court, layout, icons and bridge to AoA (to eat at their really good food court) are fantastic. I would vote for POP! Enjoy

I think your DS will LOVE POP! It has a great theme with an awesome pool area.

I think you might find POP to be a little bit nicer. AS Sports tends to be crowded with sports teams/youth groups/school groups.

Regardless of what you choose, I am sure you will have fun!

Obviously from below we are HUGE POP fans and yes being across from AoA is great. We always walk around over there and Radiator Springs is awesome. We like to eat there as well with expanded menu and real plates/silverware. POP main pool is cute and fun with kiddie area and splash pad area. I think your DS at his age would love seeing the giant Mickey, Baloo and Mowgli, Lady, Tramp, Roger Rabbit, Mr & Mrs Potato Head and then all the great stuff at AoA. No sharing of buses guaranteed.

Stayed in Sports last summer and impressed with how fresh the rooms felt. The resort is well done sporty wise but what hit me this trip that the sports overall are not geared for young children but rather older ones/adults and those very into teams. There are team pennants all over, major league and college. The surf area by the main pool is well done but we did notice it was very tight. I think your DS might be young to totally appreciate the theme. Also agree with PP, Sports is used for high school and college teams and March is one of their craziest months. My DS is a high school coach heading down that month with his team and he stays offsite because even he doesn't want to be around all the teams that are there.

Pop Century is our Resort of choice. Can walk to AofA to see the sights. I think your son will be very happy at Pop!

Thank you all so much. I made the decision to switch to Pop yesterday. When I checked online, the standard rooms were no longer available for the pass holder discount. I was disappointed, but checked again this morning and it was! Looking forward to our trip!
