Red face Best Lake View Room at Pop Century

Hi, I've decided to request a room in the 1950's section at the Pop Century because I've heard that it's quiet and has views of the lake. Does anyone have any specific room numbers that they would recommend overall? Pictures are very much welcomed too! Thanks in advance.

I would like to know too, as I am going 5/9-5/13 and requested 50's section, 4th floor as always.

It's generally not a good idea to request a particular room number, or even range of room numbers.

Instead, request the features you want - "Fourth floor, building 2 or 3, facing the lake" - or whatever order matters most to you.

I completely agree with katieeldr here. I wouldn't request a particular room. You will be limiting the room assigners too greatly this way. Give them what is important to you...50's, lake view, higher level. This way they have a better idea of what it is you are looking for.
I've stayed at POP three times now. The last time I requested a room facing the lake, higher up. I got a ground floor room in 80's with the lake off to the side. It was incredibly quiet. And quite lovely. I was really surprised that I liked the room as much as I did.

Last August, I had requested a '50s room facing the lake, but I got a '70s room facing the lake. It really is like a whole other resort from the back - it is so peaceful and beautiful! Here is a picture from the balcony (3rd floor). If you look REALLY close you can see the Legendary Hall construction across the lake.

Wow that's the kind of view I was looking for, I hope I will get a view like that. You don't remember the room number do you? If not, it's ok maybe I'll just ask for a 70's lake view room on the third floor then.
Thanks!

Fourth floor (if you're like me )
Pop buildings are four stories, and I prefer nobody stomping around above me, dropping 100 pound weights every three seconds and jumping from the bed to the floor to the bed to the floor to the...
That said, last time I was on the third floor, facing a parking lot, and it was extremely quiet. Not much of a view - but then, I wasn't there for the view

I'll echo the comments recommending AGAINST requesting particular room numbers.

Sure if you're travelling during a not very busy time.. you might get lucky. But I just think that for the most part -- you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

I don't remember the room number, but it was the building behind the big Mickey phone if that helps. We had a great view of Mickey's, um, behind as we waited for the elevator.

50's Bldg 3 View

70's Bldg 6 View (across the way is 60's Bldg 5)[/B]

The view of 70's was better, but bowling pin pool better for son so I asked for 50's again.
Both were very peaceful and quiet, agreed, like I had gone to another resort.

Was from 70's Bldg, here it is before the colors got bright. You are looking at the main building for the unfinished legendary years

This was walking along the path on the lake
