Wish trip 9/17-9/23/2007

We will be going to GKTW with MAW Nov 5-11. Our trip has been postponed twice due to my dh's medical problems, but we are all essentially healthy now and we are going no matter what!

I have a 15 year old (almost 16...where does the time go?????) with intractable epilepsy, who is my wish child, and my "little" one will turn 9 the day that we arrive at GKTW.

I have searched all the threads relating to MAW and GKTW and have enjoyed reading trip reports, etc. We have been thru so much this year and I am so looking forward to our vacation.

I hope your trip is beyond magical, Bill, and can't wait to read your report!

Bill, you always have fantastic ideas. I can't imagine how you'll be when you have actually done your trip. My question for now is to those who bought crocs. Are they worth it? Which is better, crocs or regular walking shoes? Thanks Karen

We LOVE our Crocs. We walk everywhere with them. I recently walked 4.5 miles on a gravel country road with them. Not too smart an idea for a man recovering from a heart condition. I paid for it the next day, but the Crocs withstood the challenge without breaking a sweat.

We live only a few blocks from the REAL country; hay fields, wheat, barley, pastures. We have a lot of deer and beautiful birds; turkeys as well.
