OT: Can you fit a queen headboard on a king bed?

I know it's wishful thinking, but I saw an Ethan Allen Bedroom set at our local consignment shop for $1600 for the whole set. It's solid maple. Only problem is the head and foot board are queen and we have a King bed. Don't think I can talk DH into downgrading. Is there any way to adapt it? Would it look stupid?
Any ideas?
Thanks

I don't think that's going to work. With what I understand you can sometimes mingle queen and full, but king is a lot wider. I don't think it would look good.

If EA still has that line who about buying just the case goods and ordering the bed from them?

not going to work headboard and footboard are wider on king beds. only the length stays the same on the king and queen beds.
