Exclamation I am in a pickle!!!

Just got a call from my son and he wanted to know if it would be a problem to change one of our ADRs so that we could do the Cape May Clambake! I just made the ADRs yesterday!!! I am in a pickle about this.
Has anyone done this Clambake? What is it and is it any good? We are on the dining plan, and I am wondering if we should just POP for the Clambake or the Crystal Palace Character Breakfast?? What shall I do?????

Here is the menu
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/menuoutput.cfm

We are planning to eat there this year. With as many times as we have been to WDW, we have never tried it before. I hear mixed reviews, but I wouldn't let that deter you. Read the menu above and decide.

I'd pay out of pocket for the meal that was the least expensive.

We did this two years ago and are doing it again in April. We really enjoy it-I think it's a good value for the money, however, with the DDP-that really isn't a biggie anymore. My kids love seafood-steamers and shrimp so we really eat well. Looking forward to it!!

We went for the first time 2 weeks ago....this is the best dinner buffet on property IMHO

We got in at 5:30 and were seated right away. DH headed to the little necks and was very happy to see they had plain and ones with the garlic/tarragon butter. There were mussels, corn on the cob (very good), boiled potatoes, peel and eat shrimp, clam chowder (this must have been very good because they were always refilling it), tomato bisque (very good), ambrosia, potato salad, cole slaw, caesar salad, garden salad with all the fixings, fruit salad, red skin mashed potatoes (awesome), fresh sting beans, broccolini, baked ziti, sausage with peppers and onions, the best roasted chicken, steak tips with mushrooms (very good), excellent ribs, the best corn bread, sliced beef, mac and cheese, mini hot dogs, chicken fingers, Parkerhouse rolls, but the best was the dessert. Oreo bon bons, cheesecake bites, sugar cookies, Toll House cookies, flan, key lime tarts, brownies and peanut butter chocolate chip blondies! The place was slammed within 10 minutes and the line was wrapped around the buffet twice! We were not rushed at all and ate a ton of food! This is the best buffet on WDW that we have been to (for dinner). I highly recommend it and, we cannot wait to go back.

We like the Cape May Clambake quite a bit. I basically just eat clams, and DH eats just about everything else! The oreo bon bons are one of my favorite WDW desserts!

This is the only buffet we do now. We've done them all and none compare to Cape May. I'm not a seafood lover, but the variety of foods on this huge buffet are enough to make anyone happy. And the desert bar is to die for! A must for every trip -- so we eat there 4 times a year. Of course, we do the dinner and there are no characters there.
