AP entry question - The DIS Discussion Forums

I've never had an AP before, so if I buy it at the Disney Store prior to my trip, do I still have to go to the ticket window at DL for some reason, or do we just go right up to the entry lanes?

Yes, just stand at the Entrance gates and once you are inside you can exchange for the AP at the bank...get your pic taken and receive the actual AP. If the lines for APs are too long, go enjoy the park and then return for your AP later! Have fun!

i always find the line shorting in the morning than in the afternoon.

If at all possible, get to the park WHEN it opens, and once you're in, go straight to the Annual Passholder's processing center (the Main Street Bank, next to the Opera House). The lines will be shorter first thing in the morning than at any other time during the day.

What is AP? What's the difference between EE and AP?

AP = Annual Passholders
~They are people who buy a one year pass to disneyland. It is split into 4 different kinds, vary in prices and days you can go.

EE = Early Entry
~ only available if you stay onsite or buy a 3+ day park hopper which allows you to ride many rides before the rest of the people who go.

Ok, this is more involved than I thought! So, what I buy at the Disney Store is *not* the actual AP, but some sort of entry voucher that I exchange for the actual AP once inside the park? Is that correct?
