Thumbs up CSR - Good choice!

We just came back from a 2 night stay (AP Rate) at CSR. Being that we've always stayed deluxe, I was a bit nervous.

No reason to be, it was wonderful!

Beautiful sprawling grounds. Great pool, incredible playground! We decided not to make a room request, and were placed in Ranchos 7B - GREAT LOCATION! Close to bus stop 4, main pool/playground.

The rooms were clean and bigger than I expected.

Overall thumbs up! And for $125 a night it was a super value!

Just a thought...a quick question, if you will....if anyone has been to POP and CSR, which do you think is a more FUN place for kids (boys, ages 6 and 8)? We are booked at POP this time around...our boys think it looks like a cool place...but lately I have been hearing great things about CSR, too.

We want to try all the resorts, and this time around it's a value or moderate for us and the budget! Thanks for responses!!

Was the larger slide open on the playground? I read it was closed down.
Also, if you were to pick an area, which one? We really like the look of the Casitas, but the location of Cabanas seems great.

Yes the slides were all open on the playground.

It seemed from all I read on the DIS the Ranchos was the least preferred. I really like it. We were real close to the Dig Site & the bus stop, with parking very close as well. It was very clean, well kept and quiet.

A bit of a hike to the main entrance, but we never even went there other than at check in, and when we left (and even then we rode in one of their golf carts).

I would love to give CSR a try, but fear I won't like it because of it being a "Conference" hotel. Does anyone it take away from the atmosphere of being at WDW?

For us, not at all. It actually helps because there seems to be less guests at the pool and on the buses.
