Question Watching Wishes from Fort Wilderness

Is it worthwhile to walk down to the beach at Fort Wilderness to see Wishes? Do they pipe in the sound at all?

I hope someone can help. I have tried 2 other boards and no answers.

Thanks.
Ann

We have watched wishes from the beach but they did not have they music with it the night we went .I understand that they do have it sometimes. We enjoyed it alot.We found that it is different from being in the park but in a way it was better. If you are staying at FT grab a ice creamor popcorn from the store and enjoy.

We always try to watch the fireworks at least once from the beach at FW. You don't have to be scrunched in with others to see it. Lots of room to sit, or stand and watch.

Our exit time from HDDR and our walk to the marina just happened to coincide with Hallowishes the night of our arrival. The show was nice for the first night and totally different from viewing at MK and a great way to start our trip. There was no music the night we were there. We saw little green lights on the water during the show and didn't know what they were. As soon as the fireworks ended we realized it was the EWP so we got to view that too. Pretty good timing for our arrival day!

If you are there I would definitely walk down at least one night!

Thank you all. We will definately do it at least once. It sounds great. We love the EWP so that will be a double bonus.

Did you just sit in the lawn chairs that are there or did you take towels to sit on the sand?

Thanks again.

1) No music is ever piped in for Wishes.
2) The beach is only an OK area.
3) The best view is from the employee parking lot.
. . . go out main hotel front entrance
. . . bear to the right down the ramp
. . . turn right at bottom of ramp
. . . go into employee lot and walk to far end of lot

Rusty They are asking about the Fort, not the Lodge...

We have walked down the beach, all the way to the right when facing the lake, keep walking and you will come up to an old cabin. I am not sure what they used to use it for, but it has a stage and it is really a peaceful area. There are rocking chairs on the "front porch"... hubby and I go out there and watch the fireworks. It is really nice, no music piped in, but the view is great, it is relaxing and there is never anyone else out there. (Just make sure you bring bug spray if you head out that way. Depending on the time of year the mosquitoes can be kinda crazy out that way.)

Thanks. We are going for Christmas, so I am guessing the bugs shouldn't be too bad.
