MAJOR HELP NEEDED FROM ALL DISers

A friend of mine said he will come down to disney with his wife and two children to stay with us if those of us on this board can find him the best deal possible for a 4 night stay at one of the Disney Resorts, including air from the NYC area, arriving Wednesday night November 8th, leaving Sunday November 12th.

I told him this was the best board for info and that someone would come up with codes and discounts, I think they are AAA card holders.

Please, can someone put a package together for them?

I don't have any codes (since I'm not planning a trip right now ) But why don't you or he just contact one of the number of qualified Disney travel agents and let them do the work? When I planned my first trip, I was clueless about planning Disney trips so I used Magical Journeys. Got the best deal by using them, and I'm sure the sponsor Dreams Unlimited is just as good. Or if he's a AAA member, that's what he paid his membership for - let his AAA travel agent find him a deal.

Now that I know enough about traveling to Disney, I still dedicate ALOT of time to plan my stay for the lowest price. You can rarely find the best rate for every part of planning *poof* overnight. Personally, it can take weeks/months to find/wait for the best deal on a Disney trip, from waiting for codes to come out to constantly surfing air/car websites waiting for that perfect airfare. IMHO, I hope your friend isn't expecting a miracle dollar amount quickly. Plus, I'd be concerned about spending vacation time with someone who is unwilling to even plan their own trip...you might end up wanting to strangle them after a week in the park after having to prod and convince them every step "So do you want to go to MK today?" "I don't know, research it and give me 5 good reasons why I should go to MK today, and then we'll see"

Good luck though, I hope he finds a good deal.

With one month to go, airfare may be pretty pricey. I would suggest that he check Sidestep.com for comparative pricing and then go to the airlines' websites to see if they have any better deals. He'll need to be flexible with his departure times (especially leaving MCO on a Sunday).

For a room-only discount, he can try the code BRY, which is good for check-ins 10/30/06-12/23/06. It must be booked by 10/29/06 and it does have limited availability. The AAA discount for your friend's time period is 15% off of rack rate for values and moderates.

He could then buy 3-day MYW base passes from any of the ticketbrokers for a small discount off of the gate price.

If he's looking for a package, then he could try ZDN for a regular MYW package or ZDG for MYW w/DDP. The codes are good for check-ins 11/1/06-12/23/06 with some blackout dates and a limited number of rooms available. It must be booked by 10/31/06.

Like branv suggested, I would recommend that he give his information to a TA that specializes in WDW travel and let them come up with some numbers for him.

I'd use a travel agent to find a reduced price on the resort stay, and would be watching SW Air's Dings for a last minute deal for airfare.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Airfare is definately going to be expensive from NYC area that time. WIth NJ week and alot of NY schools having days off that week for Veteran's Day & Election Day, the flights are running pretty full to sold out.

We booked SW the day the dates came out and had problems getting low fares for that weekend.

The resorts are also pretty booked.

Hope your friend can find something!
