Amy I am so sorry. I had no idea of this turn of events. I know how much a pet can be part of the family.

Oh Amy.....I'm so sorry to hear of GAAristodog.

As you said, it was a blessing that it happened before you left for Florida.

Sorry to you and your family.

Oh NO.

I'm in.

To this trippie too.

And looking forward to it.

And, yet, am so sad now too. Just wanted to say that.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Very sorry.

And how awful it is to lose a furry friend. And family member.

But... looking forward to this report.

Cheers, Mel.

GA: I am terribly sorry for your loss. I love my dog so much it hurts. My much maligned but still cool as all get out dog has been with me since law school. I dread the day he leaves us. I hurt for you just thinking about it.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your report. I don't mean that to be disrespectful to the memory of your dog, but based on other things you've written, I anticipate a good read.

My sincere condolances to your loss as well. We had to put our wonder 16 1/2 year old dachshund down during my May trip to the World. It's never easy to lose a friend.

Oh Amy, I've been offline for over a week because my hard drive crashed and today while trying to catch up on tr's I was so saddened to read about the loss of your GeorgioAristodog. That must have been so hard right before your trip. I lost my collie 4 years ago and it still hurts to think about that awful day. Please accept my sympathies.

So, so sorry for your loss, sweetie. You were so quiet about this, I don't think any of us knew. I know you adored your wonderful GeorgiaAristodog, and I am so sorry you had this tragedy right before you left for your so-highly-anticipated family trip. I hope that, in some small way, the happiness and magic of your trip to WDW helped to ease your family's pain.

I am truly looking forward to the rest of this report. Thanks so much for writing it!

I would like to say thank you to all of you who are reading, and special thanks for the sympathies. I truly mean it when I say that it was far better to lose my golden baby BEFORE when went on vacation than while we were away from home. But I can't find a good way to say that I think it was a blessing that she died before we left, when, in truth, I would have preferred that she not die at all.

Debbie ~ you are such a sweet soul. And, I took your advice on the princess photos. They will be shared in an upcoming (far into the future) episode.

Mark ~ as I said before, you didn't miss anything. I didn't want to depress anyone else right before we were all leaving. I told only one person who frequents these boards before we left.

Krista ~ thank you. Hugs right back!

Grammy ~ and thanks to you also! (Did anyone get a picture of you in the belt, by the way?)

Jami ~ I could not bear the thought of depressing anyone else before the trip. I was so excited to meet all of you in person and did not want this shadow to fall beyond our family. I know that the outpouring I would have received would have been bountiful . . .

YAK ~ many thanks (I love seeing you in pictures! classic!)

Melly ~ and my condolences to you as well. On Pepper. and congratulations. on Boddington.

Sher ~ ly/mi too! (so NOT played)

Z ~ I appreciate your condolences. and your confidence in my abilities. You are too generous and kind. (and, sadly, you may be delusional about my abilities. But I am hoping to not shatter that delusion!)

Steph ~ (you know why too . . .)

jedijill ~ thank you so much. It is never easy to lose a pet, especially when they have been around as long as that. I know of what you speak. As the daughter of a vet we had many many pets over the years. We had a cat that was 21 when she passed. It was very difficult for all of us.

Marita ~ thank you ~ need to send you a PM with a question. Note to self.

blueriver ~ good to see you here. And thanks for your sympathies and continuing to read.

Susan ~ yes, I think the distraction was very good for me. And the kids, well, death is so different to a four year old. And the little man, the only thing that matters to him is that "goldie gone?" Which he still asks every day.

Minnie ~ definitely members of the family.

Many thanks to each and every one of you for your prayers and thoughts. They do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

Dearest Amy. You know I know about your babydog and we have talked about your tragic loss. However, reading your words and imagining how you must have felt on top of all the stress of preparing to leave for your trip just made me so sad for you and your family. Your precious doggie was beautiful. I am so glad you were able to say good bye to her before you went away. Of course that is no consolation...

Love you, Amy! Looking forward to your TR. You write so beautifully.
