Laundromat near disney?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a laundromat near WDW that I could go to while staying there? I want to be able to do it all at once and not pay 5 bucks a load! Thanks

disfanRN, I too, hate to pay those prices! I try to lessen the cost by packing my own laundry soap and dryer sheets. I usually do 2 loads per trip; one for whites and one for colored clothes. I like to go late at night so it doesn't cut into my park time and it is less busy. That said, I like the feeling of security at the resort laundromats and the convience so that makes up for the extra dollars it costs there. One other thing...It is so nice to put your laundry in the machine, grab your refillable mug (full of hot chocolate! ) and sit by the pool. A very relaxing end to a hectic day!!!

I understand wanting to save money, but I wouldnt recomend leaving wdw to do laundry, It is safer, you can still enjoy your resort, doing the laundry at night is usually more comfortable, I hate the traffic and it wouldnt be worth the hassle for me, we do go to goodings grocery store which isnt much cheaper than wdw but we get stuff wdw doesnt have and its right across the street.

Doing laundry at wdw can be fun, we bring our own soap because I have to use the scent free kind.

If you have your own car, why don't you just go to PUBLIX, Super WAL Mart or SUPER TARGET for your groceries?? You will save so much money and they are really not that far away!

Unfortunately there are NO Laundry facilities close by WDW. To wash a load will cost you $2.00 and the same to dry.
Sorry.
But the poster that mentioned sitting by the pool has the right idea.

I totally agree with everyone else. To me, the cost of the laundry is worth it to feel safe, be able to sit by the pool, not have to worry about traffic...and you can do it later in the evening...or early morning before you head to the parks. I'd bet that even if you COULD find a laundromat off property that the cost wouldn't be much better. Honestly, I'd stay right where you are, enjoy the Disney magic, pull up a chair by the pool and ENJOY washing your clothes...

we did laundry at Wilderness Lodge and it wasn't $5 a load. I took my own soap and dryer sheets. This has been several years ago but I seem to remember that we did several loads at once.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks for the advice, I know your right but my mom and I have got lost so many times, we know disney property well enough to drive a bus but once we leave those gates its a whole different story. my mom and I have gone 9 times by ourselves so you would think we would have the hang of it by now
I know they are just down the road we just arent brave enough

It would be nice not to pay 4 dollars for half a cantalope

Geez, how much money are you going to save on a trip that costs thousands? $10? $20?

Skip a couple of Starbucks before your trip and enjoy WDW's wonderful facilities.
