I loved your story. And I loved that it brought back memories for me. Of a lake in Missouri and my Great aunt and uncles house. Boats, fish, cousins, sleeping on the porch, homemade ice cream, games and so much more.

Thank you for sharing, really enjoyed it. We, too, love cabins by the lake. Sadly our favorite resort, Beaver Bay Resort on Milakokia Lake in the upper peninsula of Michigan is being "sold off" piece by piece. They are selling the cabins individually and making up an association.

But, there are many, many resorts that have cabins by the lake so we'll just have to find another one.

Got bored and read your trip report. It sounds like you and family enjoyed the time together. My only regret reading it was that Grammy J, my personal favorite, had an allergic reaction and didn't play a big role. Thanks for taking the time to write this. But, I'm still not a lake guy.
