Just back from CSR - great time, but.....

We had a great time at CSR !!!! But I have to say, I'm always amazed at how "piggish" people can be. The resort is so beautiful, and yet people do the most inconsiderate things to mess it up.

Things we saw (which were quickly taken care of, but still, unnecessary).

1. Pizza and Pizza box tossed in a bush near the cabanas

2. Bra (yes a bra), tossed in a bush near the cabanas
(hmm... must have been a fun time there).

3. Dirty rolled up diaper at the edge of the quiet pool.

4. Random beer cans and such left here and there....

5. even a couple of bottles tossed into the lake near the marina..

Mind you, all of these "sightings" were in the early morning, and the Cast Members quickly cleaned them up once noticed... but I'm saddened that people would have such little respect for the resort....

Even so, it was a beautiful resort, and the CMs were helpful, cheerful and attentive. We had some great towel animals in our room upon arrival, and Mousekeeping did a great job with the kids' stuffed toys (one afternoon we returned from the parks and they had done a window up with animals on a chair, the kids balloons, etc. I walked in the room to find the TV on (which I was sure I hadn't left on), only to find 2 of the kids stuffed animlas sitting on the bed with the TV remote between them.... it was so cute - the mousekeeper set it up so the stuffed animals were "watching" TV!!!!! I cracked up!).

All in all it was a great time!

CSR is still by far my favorite!

It is disgusting how some people behave, isn't it? You have to wonder who raised them.

Please tell me, what section did you stay in? I am planning on staying at CS next October and would like some more opinions.

I'm sorry to hear about those problems you had. It's always annoying when people do those kinds things, but it's just more blatantly wrong and inconsiderate in the beautiful surroundings of a WDW resort. However, I'm glad to hear the trip was great overall. I would love to stay at CSR one day, and we seriously considered it for our Christmas trip this year. However, in the end we decided to splurge for the WL. There's always next time.....

we stayed in the Cabana section - this is the second time we've gotten that section (we requested it).

I was very happy that they were able to accomodate the request, given how busy the resort was, and the fact that we had 4 different sets of family traveling under different reservations and 4 different rooms. We all got cabanas as requested.

The issues with the piggish people did not detract from the experience. The resort staff were quick to correct things as I mentioned. The resort is absolutely beautiful as always.

We had the same thoughts at our recent stay at POR. There was a pair of mens underwear next to the bushes near the entrance to the food court. Maybe he needs to meet the woman who lost her, ahem, bra.

Usually things "disappeared" in a few hours to days but we just couldn't help but wonder if the litter was intentional. Not to mention that this adds to the cost for all of us.

What bothers me most about people who throw their trash around like that they obviously don't care that someone else has to be the one to clean up after their mess. It is unfair to the groundkeepers and maintenance crew who obviously work very hard at keeping Disney resorts looking nice.

Anyway, to the OP, other than the litter problems, glad you had a nice trip at CSR!!

It sounds to me like we need to request the Cabana section next time!!! What a party, huh? Beer, pizza, and women's underwear. Sounds like my college years in the '80's!

Seriously, though, people disappoint me. This is a family resort. I don't understand the littering, but I'm amazed at the bra. What were they thinking? Just once, I'd like to catch someone littering at Disney... I bet they wouldn't do it again.

<hopping up on my soap box>
I wonder how these people are at home.. I can understand something falling out of a suit case.. or laundry basket.. but just thrown..

The pizza boxes could have relocated by the friendly neighborhood racoons. I saw mom and two babies when we were there in April..

But still, what were they doing out side..

Some vacationers feel that they are above common decesency(sp), and comman manners..

</hopping up on my soap box> walks away, mumbling to self, and shaking head side to side..

Manners are lacking everywhere today. It's sad but I hope Disney keeps on being so quick to clean. It's what makes it an extra special place.Glad you had a great time!

I work part-time in retail (along with my full-time job) and you wouldn't believe some of the things we have found in dressing rooms. Some people just don't have any dignity, and feel if they are paying for services it gives them the right to do anything they want.
