Hotels close to MK

I am a newbie to DIS and still trying to get some information about hotels. Here is our breakdown-
We have 4-5 adults, 3 kids going. Is it best if we get a villa, 2 rooms or a suite outside of Disney?

Which hotels are close to Magic Kingdom?

Thanks for any and all help with this room situation.

It would depend on what you are willing to pay and weather or not you are looking for any kitchen facilities. I would stay on property for the best experience. I know the villas range in different sizes so check how many bathrooms come in them. Obviously if you get two rooms you will get two bathrooms so that may be a factor . Here is a list of the resorts and some pricing; http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resor...sneyhotels-nav
