Just Back: Our Dining Reviews

We stayed at the Yacht Club and absolutely fell in LOVE with it. We had a fantastic time and I really want to be back there right now, but here are our reviews. We weren't on the dining plan but decided to try all kinds of resturants anyway. It was me, DH, DD (18), DD (turned 17 on our trip), and DS (14).

Beaches and Cream- June 9th
Me: ceasar salad and root beer float
DH: burger and fruit
DD and DS: burger and fries
DD: ceasar salad

Very good! From what my family said the burgers were a little dry, but it wasn't a big deal to them. We really loved the ceasar salad, maybe I was just in the mood but I thought it was delicious. We really enjoy the atmosphere of Beaches and Cream. Yes, it is a very busy and somewhat cramped restuarant, but we like it. It's that cute little ice cream shop that everyone wishes was in their town.

Liberty Inn- June 9th
Me: Turkey sandwich
DH: Chicken strips
DD: Chicken strips
DS: double bacon hamburger

We walked into Epcot that night and around the World Showcase. Since my DS and DH are very partial to American food this is what caught my family's eye for a cheaper meal. Nothing special about this counter service but I really liked the turkey sandwich. It was something different other than the traditional burgers, chicken strips, and fries. No complaints from family members here.

Tony's Town Square- June 10th
Me and DH: both ordered the baked ziti and split a ceasar salad.
DD: Lady and the Tramp Combo: ceasar salad and chicken panini
DD: Chicken parmesan
DS: Chicken Ceasar Salad

Very good service here. Probably because there wasn't many people in the restaurant, but she was extremely attentive to everything. We enjoyed having a Italian meal! Tony's is a very peaceful and relaxing setting- nothing spectacular but very enjoyable. Everyone really liked what they ordered especially my DD who ordered the chicken parmesan.

Rosie's All-American Cafe- June 10th

DD, DS, DH: burger and fries

We walked into MGM later around 7 to watch Fantasmic. My DD and I were still too full from Tony's to eat anything, but the rest of my burger-loving family wanted something else to eat. Usually at Rosie's it takes a little while to get your food, but I was pleasantly suprised this trip. They got their food extremely fast- most likely due to the fact that we were eating later. My burgers fans gave it an A+!

MORE TO COME LATER!!!!!

Here's the next batch:

San Angel Inn- June 1th

Me and DD: Nachos de pollo
DD: Tacos al carbon

This was the meal we had for just the girls in our family. We loved it! Very good food. Our food came out pretty fast but some of the service was slow. (like getting extra salsa or water, etc) No big deal to us though because we weren't in any hurry. We also got a table by the water which we loved- we were very pleased.

Beaches and Cream- June 11th
Me: root beer float
DH: ceasar salad and coffee
DD and DS: Mickey Mouse Sundae w/ mint chocolate chip ice cream
DD: Mickey Mouse Sundae w/ chocolate ice cream

Yummy! Since we were full from lunch- most of decided to just get ice cream for a refresher in the hot day. We all enjoyed it and my kids all loved the ice cream. Service was a little slow, but that was the only complaint.

Yacht Club Galley- June 12th

DD, DS, Myself, DH: breakfast buffet
DD: fruit 'n' yogart parfait

We had a ten minute wait to get in which was ridiculous because there was plently of tables- but 10 min. really wasn't that bad. We just were dissappointed in the poorly run hostessing job. Our meal was delicious though and the server was excellent. Very friendly and attentive.

O'hana- June 11th

ALL: Dinner Buffet

EXCELLENT!! We got in right on time and were seated next to a window and by the firepit. We could see the GF right outside our window- gorgeous. Great server- she was very friendly and sweet. The food was just wonderful. All of the meats were just to die for and everyone had their favorite- for me it was the pork! My daughters got to do the hula and participate in some of the songs. Everything was great and by far our favorite restaurant of the ones we had tried this trip!

Pizza Planet- June 13th

Me, DH, DD: Buzz Meal Deal: cheese pizza, garden salad
DD, DH: Woody Meal Deal: pepperoni pizza, garden salad

It was our first time at Pizza Planet and we really enjoyed it. The pizza was good and it was a nice combo to have a salad with it as well. It was a fun experience too with the arcade games. After we were done eating the kids played a few games they enjoyed. We would definitely go back and since there isn't many choices of CS at MGM- I thought this was one of the best!

Le Cellier- June 14th

Me: Cheddar cheese soup, open sirloin steak sandwich
DH: Cheddar cheese soup, grilled steak burger, frozen berry daquiri
DD: grilled chicken ceasar salad
DD: Cheddar cheese soup, Calgary Maple Barbecue Chicken sandwich, frozen berry daquiri
DS: Grilled steak burger, frozen berry daquiri

Wow- the cheddar cheese soup is to die for here! The three of us who ordered it loooved it. My two kids and my husband loved their frozen berry daquiri's as well. We got them last December when we were on the dining plan and they just couldn't pass them up this time. The breads were also very good- everyone's favorite was the pretzel bread! My open sirloin sandwich was the only disappointment. It just wasn't up to par this time- and I usually love it. My DH said the burger was pretty good, but not great. The rest of my family really liked what they got.

Peco's Bills- June 15th

DH, DS, DD: Double bacon cheesburger w/ fries
DD: Chicken Wrap
ME: BBQ pulled pork

Everything was really good here- we thought it was a good amount for the money too. We usually go to Peco's Bills every trip- one of our favorites for some odd reason. We weren't not disappointed this time- we got the food quickly also so that was a plus. And I love the fixin bar

1900 Park Fare~Cinderell'as Gala Feast- June 15th
ALL: Dinner buffet

Excellent food- and a lot of choices and some expensive dishes that tasted incredible! Characters were very good- except Cinderella. Suzy and Perla came to our table many times and were sweet and willing to take many pictures. Prince Charming was excellent- especially with my two daughters. The Fairy Godmother in the lobby was also excellent and played her character so well- I was very impressed. Cinderella was just a little bit of a "snob" so that kinda of took away from the meal- but we did really enjoy the other characters. It was a one-timer meal for us but we were happy we did it!

Boma- June 16th
ALL: Breakfast Buffet

We LOVED it!! We went into AK that morning for an hour or so and came out and had breakfast. It was such a crazy and extremely hot morning at AK so Boma was perfect! Great atmosphere and very relaxing. We loved it food and it had many different things to choose from. The omelet station was great too! Their West African Frunch juice was amazing as was their carved ham. Very pleasant waiter also.

Crystal Palace- June 17th
ALL: Lunch buffet

This was my daughter's 17th birthday and when we were seated the table was decorated with confetti and streamers! She also got a cupcake and a car signed by all the characters later in the meal- so magical for her! The food was wonderful- the only thing I didn't care for was the flank steak. It was just a little pink for me to eat, but that didn't matter at all because there was so many others things to eat and try. We had a very good server also and all the characters were wonderful- Tigger was the best though!

So that is it for our trip- hope you enjoyed reading them! If you have any questions- I would LOVE to be able to answer them. When it comes to anything: Disney sure does it right!
