I would be sitting on the patio of the Fontana bar at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas watching the dancing fountains on a warm balmy night whilst sipping vintage Champagne

and since coming from the east coast we starts our day at 3AM just walking the strip.... we sleep early so we start early and still enjoy the lights in Vegas...1)Bellagio = sleeping in early.. while the fountain is still dancin infront of you. 2)Walking to Alladin's Dessert passage and doing the mardigras ( never been to new orleans and this was the closest thing 3)hoping from one buffet to another 4)the 24 hour bus for $5.00 5)Watching "O" after a day at the spa at Bellagio

I'm going to include some close-to-vegas attractions as I feel they merit a visit.
1. Hoover Dam - you have to see it at least once 2. Red Rock Canyon - about 20 minutes away, and a world apart, absolutely gorgeous 3. Dueling Pianos - I love the ones at Paris and at NYNY 4. Bellagio Fountains 5. Shopping! Canal Shops at the Venetian, Desert Passage, Fashion Show Mall, and The Forum Shops. |

If you ever have the chance, go see the KA show at the MGM. It is an absolutely unbelievable show, even better than O.

Depends on who I'm with...
With my daughter Hanging out at the pool Shopping at the Fashion Show and Forum shops Mirage dolphin and tiger exhibit Bellagio Fountains Driving around my old neighborhood in amazement at how its grown (I lived in Green Valley while attending UNLV) With friends Playing craps and drinking the free watered down drinks Downtown to see the light show on Fremont Shopping at the Fashion Show and Forum Shops Walking around at midnight taking in the sights Slow paced walking through the hotels, The Wynn and Bellagio are especially spectacular I also want to plug the Hofbrahaus for dining and drinking , it is across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel and its a replica of the original in Germany. I went last December with friends and it was just a lot of fun. Something I wouldn't bring my daughter to though.

One of my favorite things to do with my DD (which didn't make my personal list....butshe loves it) is the "Mideval times" type dinner show at the Excalibur . It is the typical dinner show(eat with your hands) with the competing knights on horseback.....but they have some good effect and it is done well.

If you stay on the Strip where the resort hotels are (and this is a BIG area) you will not have any problem at all. That said, Las Vegas is moving a bit away from the family themes and back to the more adult themes. There are so many beautiful hotels to visit. Each one is a destination in itself, with beautiful grounds and attractions depending on what you like to do / see. |
