If you don't get your Transportation Notice by 9am of the day PRIOR to departure, just stop by the Lobby Concierge desk. They'll make sure you're booked, and re-print your voucher.

We're staying at the Swan until the last day of our trip when we'll be switching to the Beach Club for just that one night. Because of that we'll only be using ME for the return trip to the airport and since we're only going to be there one day, it's impossible for them to send us a notice the day prior to our departure.

Can I just get the vouchers and whatever it is I need when I check in at the Beach Club or is the check-in desk equipped to handle that?

Thanks!

Lobby Concierge can take care of that for you.

As long as you're arriving at the same airport (MCO) on the same date, you'll be fine.

Dme

My sister's family is not arriving to MCO until 11pm. I understand that when you let DME claim your luggage for you it can sometimes take several hours... in this case since it will already be really late when they arrive should they just claim the luggage themselves in order to avoid a 2 or 3am call that their luggage has arrived?
If they do want to claim the luggage themselves should they just leave off the yellow DME tags?

Thanks!

Yep..if they are going to claim their own bags, then they shouldn't put those yellow tags on them. That's not a bad idea late at night.

So if I decide to NOT use the ME tags, and retrieve my own luggage, I will be expected to tip the ME bus driver for getting in on and off the bus for me? Not that I mind, but I want to make sure I understand it correctly. Also would I do the same for the return trip?

What happens if I do use my tags and the airline loses one (or more) of my bags, will ME look for my bags?

I'm still trying to decide whether to use my tags or not.

Will he be lugging your bags? Then he would get a tip.

I don't think enough people realize this. When I handed my DME driver one, I thought he was going to faint from shock This is one I don't understand, since it's so simple to set aside a few extra bucks since it's a free ride that you would normally need to budget for something else in its place.

Thanks for the information. That is why I LOVE these boards.

So, if I DO use my tags, then Disney covers the tip? Is that correct? Although, I would still tip him for driving me.

The way I (and many many others) see it, a tip is for someone who provided a personalized service specifically for me. A food server brings my food to me personally. If a bus driver handles MY luggage, then that person gets a tip from me. A bus driver who drives me along with 20 other people doesn't get a tip from me unless he/she did something specifically for me (rather than for the entire group).

If you have carry-ons, you may choose to bring them onto the bus with you if they will fit on the overhead sheld or under your seat. If they won't fit, or if you just don't want to mess with them, then the driver will load them under the bus (and you'll get them back as soon as you get to your resort). In this case, since the driver provided a personalized service for you (touched your bags), I'd tip for that.

The only tip that Disney covers is the in-bound bellman gratuity for checked luggage that DME handles. If you claim your own bags, then you are responsible for all tips associated with those bags,

Disney has been offering this really cool service for 2.5 years now, and literally millions of people have used it. Just try it and enjoy it.

How long before trip, do you get your tags...

We have 6 weeks left before vacation. When should I receive the tags?

Thank you

We leave on Dec 18th, so not long after you. Mine should come anyday? Thanks for your quick reply! Have a fun vacation!
