Just back from some great dining, the cast of characters is me, the wife,
daughters (4 & 8). We had the DDE card, and this was our second trip in the past calendar year. Total savings this trip was around $142.00, added to the last trip, total savings was over $400....well worth the $50 to get it. (6-8) Mama Melroses (dinner) >> Back to Mama's, but w/o the dinner package. I had the pepperoni flatbread, the wife had the spaghetti with Marinara sauce. Both were very good. Food-- A Service-- B (6-9) Le Cellier (lunch) >> Wow do we love this place. We always seem to get fantasic service, and this year was no different, kudos to Lindsay for a great job! I had the cheedar cheese soup (well spent $5), we both had the barbecue chicken sandwich, the 8 yr old had the kids steak. All were good, but let's face it, people go to this place for the PRETZEL BREAD (Linsday even hooked us up with a bag to go )Food-- A Service-- A+ (6-9) Biergarten (dinner) >> We had sooo much fun last year, we wanted to do this again. Service was just so-so, but the food was good and plentiful (the beer worked well also ) The band was excellent andtons of fun. We'll be putting this on our list every trip. Food-- A Service-- C Fun factor-- A (6-10) Teppenyaki (lunch) >> First time here for the kids, and they had a blast. Our teppen chef was very friendly and talkative, and he could cook too! I had the chicken and scallops, and the wife had the chicken and shrimp, both were top notch. The kids favorite part was the "onion volcano" and when the chef flipped a shrimp into his hat. Food-- A Service/Chef-- A (Dinner was an unplanned home game at the Whispering Canyon again.) (6-11) PrimeTime 50's (dinner) >> First time for all of us here, and boy did we have fun. Ellen was our server, and she was tough on the whole elbows on the table thingy The wife just had the chicken soup app.,I had the fried chicken, both were very good. For some side entertainment, there was a big group next to us, and watching 2 teenage girls have to stand and sing "I'm a little tea pot" for the whole section was hilarious. Food-- A Service-- A (6-12) Artist Point (Dinner) >> Now we're talking, AP is by far our favorite must do of every trip. I had the buffalo sirloin (med.) which was phenomenal, and the wife had the Copper River Salmon (she claims it is the best piece of fish she's ever had). We both indulged in the berry cobbler dessert (which by itself is almost worth the 1150 mile drive). Food-- A+ Service-- B Dessert-- Oh my! (6-13) Rose and Crown (dinner) >> What better way to end the vacation then with dinner and Illuminations. I had the fish and chips, the wife had the curry chicken dish. We shared the apple crumble dessert. Didn't score a patio table, but were able to go out on the lower level patio for Illuminations. Truly "great" service again. Rebecca did a fantastic job of taking care of us. Food-- B Service-- A++ Holding your 4 yr. old in one arm and a Bass Ale in the other while having a front row seat for Illuminations.......priceless

Thanks for the great reviews!
You mentioned several of our favorites... pretzel bread, Biergarten, the whole 50's PT experience, ohhhh and Copper River Salmon - what a treat; one of my favorite things on earth to eat. It's making me think maybe we should be doing Artist Point instead of Narcoosee's this trip. If only that salmon wouldn't be out of season by then. Sounds like you had a great time!

What was the patio at Rose&Crown like? Were there seats or did you stand? We dined there last year and our waitress forgot to bring us and we missed Illuminations! She didn't know about their private viewing spot! I want to try it again, but only if I know we will definetily get to see Illuminations.

Depended on when the server took you out. We got out a little late and
had to stand, which really was no big deal because the show is short and the people in front of us were seated at a table. I always prefer to eat outside and just watch from our table, but it worked out for us either way.
