Loved CSR

Hi! We just returned from CSR, and I wanted to post a quick review. We checked in around noon on Sunday and out on Thursday. We are a family of 4 - me, DH, DS 11, and DS 9.

We loved the room. We were in 8108 (section 8a). We were right behind bus stop #4. The room was very clean, and each room in our little section had towel animals in the window. We had two beautiful creations awaiting us. When I first saw them in the window, my heart sank because I was sure that they had given us an already occupied room. I tried my key anyway, and all was well.

We loved the strong fan in the bathroom. Every bathroom should have a vent. It not only helps prevent that disgusting mold, but is just overall more comfortable when you can get rid of the steam. It may not matter to some, but a bathroom fan is a biggie for me.

We loved that privacy curtain! It seems like such a simple thing, but it made a huge difference. It was so pleasant to come out of the bathroom into my own little dressing room. My "tween" 11 year old enjoyed the privacy, too.

We loved the refridgerator in the room.

We loved the pool area. My kids thought the slide was "awesome". Several times they asked to leave the parks in order to go back to the resort and swim. DH took them to the pool each morning to let them swim as well, while I took my time getting ready. The slide opened at 10 am, while we were there.

We loved the bus system. We never waited for a bus more than 10 minutes, whether we were leaving the parks or leaving the reorts.

I didn't care much for the Pepper Market. I bought a taco salad to go one night, just so that I could try their food. DH, DS, and I had some and there was still half of it left. It had to have weighed a good three pounds, but it was three pounds of blah. It just had no flavor. The pastries were good, though. The walk back to the room was kind of long, as well. We always ate at the parks, anyway.

CSR is now one of our absolute favorite resorts. We all look forward to returning!

ooh, glad to hear its just as good as I remember it. I'm trying to talk the DH into upgrading (he's only stayed at ASMo and thinks thats "just fine" )

My saving grace at the pepper market was the pizza, I do remember that being very good!

Oh my God - that was our room from May 10th to May 20th!!!! My washing line wasn't still hung up over the bath was it?!?
The towel photo frame with Nemo in it was already there when we arrived - the other one the maid did half way through our holiday....last year we brought them home with us but i'm so glad that we chose to leave them this year!!

We were there the same time!! We were in room 8125, right around your corner! I wonder if you were the family we were playing Marco Polo with in the swimming pool??? I had my DS 10 and his 10 yr D Best Friend. After a rocky start we also had a wonderful stay and will definitely go back (after we try a few other resorts...my dream is to someday stay at every disney resort!)

I'm soooo glad everyone is saying such positive things about CSR. We're booked there for November. I wanted to stay at the POFQ again, but my dd(7) fell in love with the slide on the WDW Planning Video. Then she went to allearsnet.com and looked at pictures and read some more on the BuzzManns(?) site. I felt that for all the research she did that there was no choice but to book it. So I feel a wave of relief that so many people have had wonderful experiences there! Can't wait to see it for myself!
