Linda, thank you so much again for the response and the information! Its very nice for you to take time to answer the questions. I really appreciate it. I will be sure to post a review upon our return.

Glad to hear they are comfortable for 5 people (Grumpy's wife) we will have the same amount in our suite when we are there.

For Grumpy's wife, how were the fold outs. I know Linda described them as being comfortable & very unique in design. Just getting another perspective.

Honestly my kids weren't to thrilled when they found out they were sleeping on sofa beds. My oldest is 14 and she had the sofabed to herself. My middle DD9 had the chair and my DS-6 had the ottoman. They slept very well. I guess they were too tired to complain. They slept through the night every night. I loved the space the suite gave us. Two bathrooms were a big help. I really enjoyed the fact that when you came home from the parks you could sit on the sofa or chair as opposed to sitting on the bed to watch a little TV. I would stay there again. Two thumbs up from me.

Yes I think they do. We were talking about when will we go back and I asked if they liked staying there. They all said yes. My DS is standing next to me now. I asked him if the bed was comfortable. He was on the ottoman mind you. He said yes it was. Maybe because they are new but the teenager didn't even complain that the sofa bed was uncomfortable.

Thanks! My kids are small (3,5,7) so I'm sure they'd be comfortable but I'm thinking DH would like the atmosphere of POR better. I don't think the 2nd bathroom would be a big deal to us now the kids are so young. And the full price on the suite is more than a discounted single room at POR.

It was fun, but my girls were 17 month old. I love the extra space it gave them. Much easier for them to go to sleep at night if we were not in the same room.

We were on the first floor of Jazz 2. We were the second to last room towards the parking lot. THe last room was not a family suite. I think there was 3 family suites in a row. My FIL was 3 rooms closer to the pool from us in a regular room.

Before Disney built the Family Suites they built 4 models so they could deside witch floor plan to go with.
I think you must have stayed in the 4 original models Disney built.

Here are some hotos from allearsnet.com of one of models they saw before the Family Suites opened.

Hope you had a nice time at Disney!

Suite and DDP

I am leaving Monday and have a Family Suite booked WITH the Disney Dining Plan! Was someone told this is not allowed?

It is definitely allowed. We had a Suite with the Dining Plan over Thanksgiving Week. It was wonderful.

If I understand correctly, you just can't get the Free Dining Plan, which was offered in the late summer/early fall, with the suites. Free Dining was considered a discount, which they do not need to offer discounts with the suites, since they are so popular.

So if you have the paid-for dining plan, I'd imagine that would be fine.
