Disneyland Entertainment -- with pictures

The Disneyland Resort offers much more than just rides and attractions. Everywhere you go there is music, and often you'll find scheduled and unscheduled entertainment throughout the parks. I've only captured some of it here, and maybe you can add pics that you have to these.

Character Entertainment

Meeting the characters is so much fun for the children (and children at heart) and here Ariel greets guests at her grotto in Disneyland.

Stitch enjoys picture taking with guests

Mickey & Donald tease each other while visiting with guests & taking pictures.

Prince Philip with a young guest.

Dining with the characters can be fun, as cousin Erika finds out.

Goofy takes pictures & signs autographs

Characters from the animated feature Atlantis. Little ones were climbing on the windboard

Woody on his way to greet guests.

At Christmas at California Adventure - Santa is excited to meet Mickey.

Santa takes pics with guests at Reindeer Roundup in Frontierland

Chip & Dale have fun with guests at the Reindeer Roundup

Belle stops to say hi to a little one

Musical Entertainment

The Main Street Band entertains guests as they enter the Happiest Place on Earth.

The Main Street Band entertains near the flag pole, and this time Eeyore joins them.

Rod Miller, a Disneyland icon, entertains crowds at Coke Corner, Main Street. Rod is no longer at Disneyland, but guests can enjoy listening to jazz and Disney and other show tunes here while enjoying a yummy hot dog.

The Firemen Band on Main Street

On their way to a gig .... Disneyland style

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies offer music and comedy at the Golden Horseshoe. This is a funny show to watch, and you can grab a bite to eat while you watch the show.

Our cousin Heather is being serenaded for her 13th birthday while my dd Kelly looks on in New Orleans Square.

Listen to jazz & blues in New Orleans Square, and if you're lucky you may catch a bead necklace as they throw them out.

Guests enjoy dancing in the streets to 60's music at California Adventure

Charles Dickens singers on Main Street

The Trashcan Trio plays percussion in Tomorrowland

You can find some good fiddle playing in Frontierland

The Dapper Dans on Main Street sometimes sing acapella - join them & sing along

Parades and Shows

Guests can entertain storytelling by Aladdin & Jasmine. Here is the entrance - between the Jungle Cruise & Tiki Room.

Fantasmic is shown on the weekends during non-peak times, and every night during peak times. This is a must-see show at least once.

The stage for Aladdin - it will soon come to life - this is a show worth watching

Visit the Animation Station & talk to Crush from Finding Nemo. Young guests can sit on the floor, and older guests in the back -- this is a neat show.

Merlin the Magician searches for someone worthy to pull the sword.

Remember... Dreams Come True Fireworks Show -- it must be seen

Parade of Dreams -- another great parade at Disneyland

California Adventure has the Block Party Bash - high energy entertainment

That Something Extra

Lagniappe used to entertain us in New Orleans Square. He really added a little something extra to the New Orleans experience.

Jr Chef is relatively new at Disneyland. Guests get to make chocolate chip cookies, and eat them, too.

Princess Storytelling takes place at the Toy Shoppe in Fantasyland. Here is Snow White telling young guests a story.

There is storytelling at the River Creek Challenge Trail, near Grizzly Rapids.

Lady DeVine wanders around California Adventure. If you're lucky you'll catch sight of her.

Push the Trashcan wanders around Tomorrowland, delighting guests.

Snow White talks to Push ... right before he tells her someone fed him apple pie. Naturally, she was horrified to hear that.

When you look up at the Matterhorn you may catch the Alpine climbers

Or you might catch Mickey himself climbing up

Marie Osmond periodically goes & autographs her dolls (or is that doll certificates) - I happened to visit when I saw her.

Sometimes you run into a special being filmed, like Disney Mania 3 here

Disneyland really makes their candy fresh - sometimes you can watch them
