We don't do a park on arrival day- we drive in from New Orleans so it's just dinner at DTD and bed arrival day haha!

We always do MK the last two days. I feel like saving it for the end builds more anticipation We don't do parks on arrival day, just dinner at DTD. We usually do Epcot the first two park days, then DHS, then AK and finally MK. Whatever you decide to do, have a magical time!

Also, let me add this: we usually take the bus to Epcot after we eat dinner at DTD. We only do this to take the monorail from Epcot to Mk and back to Epcot, where we then hop back on our resort bus. This way we see the Castle and the Epcot "ball" (Spaceship Earth) on our day of arrival so we know for sure we are "home."

When I drink I find its easier to watch my children because I see all 3 of them double, so all 6 of them of them take all my attention

Since we are staying at BC this trip we plan on walking over to Epcot after we arrive. We'll do MK on our second day.

No--we use the crowd calendar. But we do like to finish at MK on our last night.

I definitely don't feel the need to go to MK on the first day, but I agree that it doesn't feel like Disney til we're there.

If it's worth the thought, usually party days have much lower crowds and wait times because of the shorter hours...

No....Arrival day we normally head to Epcot or Animal Kingdom and the 1st full day we head to one of the Water Parks....I understand the draw to go on the first day as most see it as the most "Disney" of the park, but we like to save it for mid-week...

We always fly there really early in the morning so we get there at like 10:00. But we don't get passes for that day because we already missed the rope drops. The second day we go we hit MK bright and early morning and then we go to the Crystal Palace at lunch and the Dessert Party afterwards.

I started at Epcot in 2006 because I was meeting up with my sister and her family and it was their last day. I moped around the entire time, although I think I hid it well. I wanted to see the Castle!
Aww...no ticker for me.

Yes. We stay at Bay lake and with the kids so young (7, 3) it just makes sense.

1. I get the official feel right away
2. It's closest to the hotel, so we can sneak back at check in and meet the bags, get the room set up
3. The kids enjoy that park the most, more classic, kid friendly rides
4 my daughter7 can't stop talking about Big Thunder Mtn so she couldn't go another day without it.
5 after a long day of travel + park, when we are done...a simple walk back is better then waiting for transportation.

MK is ALWAYS first and last for us! It's just tradition at this point...after about our 4th or 5th trip we realized that is just how it worked out so now after 18 trips, it would feel wrong to do it any other way!

We drive down from ATL, usually arrive about 4pm or so, check in the resort then head straight to MK for our first day! Then, on our last day, regardless of what other parks hours or crowds may be, we head to MK about 3 hours before their closing time to make sure it is our last park and literally stay until they gently nudge us out the gate!

MK is always our first park, but

I decided to let my dd14 decide which park to go to on the first day. I really thought she would choose Epcot. Then she said MK because she wants to see the new Little Mermaid ride.

Last 2 times we went we did do MK first but that was only because it was on a recommend day, next year we will not be doing it first because we are flying in on a Saturday so we will be waiting 3 or 4 days till we go to MK.
