Last day of Christmas Parade and Lights on Castle?

When do they stop lighing the castle and when is the last Christmas Parade???

During our 2011 trip we saw the Christmas parade at MK on Jan. 1 and the Christmas parade at AK on January 3. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure the lights and parades are until the 3rd (I did a lot of planning and calling to make sure we saw them!). We also saw the Osborne lights at DHS, but I can't remember which day.

Looks right except that according to the AP Mickey Monitor the Castle Dream Lights are scheduled through January 8, 2013

I have learned to never put a lot of trust the "official" WDW calendar.

There will be IllumiNations that night at 6:30 (or 7:00, or 8:30... ANOTHER conflict!)
and the Holiday Finale might also happen.
But, it might not.

Me too. We're arriving on January 5th. I also checked with guest services and they confirmed the January 8th end date for the Castle Dream Lights (though the Mayans still might have a better accuracy record )

But how can they put one thing on their website and change it...*especially* a major thing like the fireworks on New Year's Eve. I will be seriously peeved if I fight those crowds and they don't show what is listed on their website.

There WILL be Epcot fireworks (2 shows) on NYE.
It's just that they may or may not tack on the "Holiday/Christmas Finale" to the first show (IllumiNations) of the evening.

Second show of the evening is a NYE special event.

As to what they put on the so-called "official" WDW website...

That website lost much of its credibility about 5 years ago when they laid off most of the CM's responsible for maintaining and updating it.
Since then, it has been a disaster of unreliable information and late posting of changes.

what about NYE at MK? It says "holiday wishes" They do do fireworks just before midnight. Is it usually Holiday wishes? or something else?

They will be performing a special NYE fireworks show.
