HELP!! Looking for an affordable 4 BR

I'm looking for an affordable...meaning I don't want to spend more than $1000 for a house rental off-site for 9 nights from March 27 - April 5. We have 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 9, 5, and 2)

We are looking for a nice, pool home, not too far from WDW.

Hopefully I am not asking for too much; just trying to plan an affordable vacation and becoming very discouraged with no one answering rental inquiries or if they do, the prices are nothing like listed in the ad; so I thought I would see if anyone on here either rents their home or can refer me to someone.

THANKS!!!

WOW - I think you need to boost up your $$ or down your requirements. This is the (or at least one of) the most expensive times to visit of the year. I might think you could get lucky if you were going at a slow time - but my bet is no way can you get all that - pool, close proximity, 4 BR and $1,000 for that week. AND, it's MORE than a week.

I would think you could potentially get something a bit further away from WDW if you boost your $$ to $1,500.

We rented a 5 bedroom once at Windsor Hills NOT in prime week for 7 nights only for $1500 or $1600. And I thought that was a great deal!

Maybe someone else will have some suggestions but that's my opinion.

I agree with PP - I'm not sure that is doable. You may be able to get a 3bed in your price range that has a fold out couch though. Maybe of the 3 beds at windsor claim to sleep 8.

I have price out many places before spring break officially starts for our trip and windsor hills had the best deals...though I just couldnt bare staying offsite.

Im guessing your inquiries were through VRBO? I noticed that most places want to do full week or month rentals only there :\

There are many 4 bedroom rental homes that fall into that price range. http://www.vrbo.com/search?q=kissimm...ate=2013-04-05 These are available on the dates you want even. There are 7 or 8 that are under $1,000.

I saw a bunch in that price range on VRBO and Homeaway. I want to say some were in Indian Creek? I can't remember for sure though! GL!!!

During an off-season week I would think that would easily be doable. But Easter is one of the busiest times at WDW, so it's much more difficult. Most vacation homes would boost their rates during that timeframe.

We loved the two times we stayed in Windsor Hills.

I booked a great 4-bedroom house for $800 including taxes and pool heat for Christmas week in Rolling Hills (right past Windsor Hills). Unfortunately, it's not available for Easter week. But ... it *can* be done for a great price. Especially since it'a so close to Spring Break owners are ready to start to bargain.

We are staying in Davenport during Christmas week. We get to WDW in 15 mins. and have no problem making rope drop.

When I was looking for a 5 bd house, I also looked in Clermont which is north of 192 and 27. I found two houses that I liked. We have stayed in gated and non-gated communities in Davenport without any problems. I used homeaway in 2011 and for Dec. 2013.

VRBO is the way to go. We are renting a 4 bedroom 3 bath house for a little under $1000.00. Defiantly check out the website.

Good luck in your hunt!!

Do you need a private home? A 4-bedroom condo may be cheaper. Sorry, I have never priced the homes, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. There are some rough areas of Orlando. Expand your search to Kissimmee around the Silver Spurs Arena, Lakeland, and possibly Plant City to get cheaper prices.

VRBO is a great site. Dreams Villas of Orlando might work for you too.

We are staying here. Go to vacationrentals dot com and search for # 78641. Sorry it wont let me post links yet since I have only made 6 posts

It is located in Kissimmee. It fits up to 10 people and we will be there for 13 nights the first two weeks in June. We are only being charged $1,200 which is the total cost (taxes, cleaning, etc).

Stacy, the owner has been really easy to deal with. I believe they own 3 of the same type of properties at this location. It has also gotten really good reviews. Good Luck!
