Wink Coral Reef-atmosphere vs allergy

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I currently have Coral Reef booked as I think the atmosphere would be nice for my teenage daughter to experience...my problem is I have shellfish allergies and as everyone is aware Coral Reef is primarily seafood....The chefs were great on our last trip in regards to allergies but Coral Reef does not seem to have a big selection to pick from on their menu...the chicken with spatzle sounds good, has anyone tried it??

All the Disney restaurants seem to serve shellfish these days, it's getting tough to find one that doesn't. Just note on your reservation your issues and ask to talk with the chef when you arrive. From what I understand they have allergy-free zones in the kitchens so your food won't accidentally come into contact with an allergen through surfaces, cooking utensils and otherwise. I've also found the chefs to be very polite and will occasionally offer to do something similar to another entree but using ingredients that are friendly to dietary needs (for example, replacing the seafood with chicken).

I'm allergic to just about everything, but my severe allergies include shellfish, red wines, chicken, tomato and one certain liquor Boma and Jiko love using. They've always come up with great substitutions.

Are you allergic to fish in general, or just shellfish? I'm allergic to shellfish. We were there in August. I had the Mahi Mahi without the shrimp topping. They also allowed me to swap out the side for something that I wanted more.

DS14 had a steak. It looked really good and he enjoyed it.

I think that between our two dinners there, we only had one meal that had shellfish and that was shrimp in a side dish and the shrimp were actually added later (they were served on a separate dish so it was obvious) as the side had to be special prepared due to other allergies. I suppose that if you have contact or inhalant allergies then it might be a risk, but if it's only ingestion then I wouldn't worry. The chefs will take good care of you.

For our first dinner, DH and DD15 got steak, DD12 got chicken and I got fish. For our second dinner, DH and I each got different types of fish, DD15 got steak and DD12 got chicken.
