door decoration at resort?

I'm leaving in a week to stay at DW (so sad no cruise this time.) This is our first stay on the resort so just wondering if people can decorate the door like on the cruise?

Where are you staying - it might make a difference. We put magnetic door signs at Old Key West, Saratoga, and Coronado Springs. We have decorated our balcony at Wilderness Lodge. We were there for Christmas once and had Christmas lights strung up on the railing in the grand villa, a Christmas tree, and cling-ons for the patio doors. I have seen lots of folks decorate from the inside of a window rather than on their door at the resorts. Housekeeping loved decorations and used them in making beds and towel animals and stuffed animal displays.

We usually stay at a Value resort and we always decorate our window, complete with a string of lights (xmas type) - it makes finding our room so easy at especially at night - people always stop by and look at our decorations (some even take pictures). We decorate either for the season or if we are celebrating (like a birthday).

We have decorated our window at Port Orleans Riverside. It was Father's Day, and we put up a bunch of signs and pictures for DH.

I don't know about all deluxe resorts, but the doors at the Contemporary are not metal, so no decorations on those. (I have to assume tape would be frowned upon.)
