Visiting UK, Paris and Disneyland in late No -where to buy thermals etc
We are coming from an Australian spring to the UK and staying in Stratford upon Avon and Sherston for one week each. Then on to Disneyland and Paris for a week before travelling on to Italy for 2 weeks.
We are all bringing woollen coats and jumpers, but don't have thermals as hubby said we should wait and buy in the UK. What would be the best shop or shops to buy thermals, warm socks and waterproof boots (we are unlikely to use again when we return home so want to stay warm as cheaply as possible) at a reasonable price?

Sports Direct will probably be the cheapest.
I got some thermal clothes from them last year and it was about £10 for a t top and bottoms that covered my entire body. They also sell boots and everything else you'd need.

I get my thermals from Primark, can't remember the prices exactly but think a vest was about £4. If you're looking to buy stuff as cheaply as possibly then my top tip would be to check out their kids ranges - I'm a fairly curvy size 14 but I've found that their stuff for 12-13 year old boys fit be perfectly!

When do you come exactly? It is just a lot of the cheaper shops like Primark & Matalan have their stocks in now and tbh, tend to sell out (as they are the cheapest). By the time end November comes, if we have had a few really cold spells, then many of these places will have little left. I was in Primark at the weekend and they had a measly showing of children's thermals - hardly anything left (and not sure they will restock??).
Believe me, I've tried buying a bikini (for me) in July/August (when we in the UK would wear them/take them on holiday) and been frustrated to find only sale items in shops (funny sizes!) or autumn clothes!! So had to resort to expensive online make! We are notorious for stocking clothes way ahead of our seasons! ![]() If you try a few of those cheaper places mentioned and they do not have them, you might want to find a proper outdoor shop which will probably stock them but you will pay more. Somewhere like Mountain Warehouse (they have a web so you can look at stuff now to get an idea). Or failing that, you might be lucky with Asda.... You may not have an issue at all but honestly, you can't tell! So, as you are doing, it's best to be prepared with where to look

There's a branch of Blacks in Stratford upon Avon. They'll have what you need, or be able to point you to another store in the town centre that will
