So Disney is going to send all the annual passholders an email directing them to choose a color for their bands? I've only been a passholder since November, but I've never received a passholder email. I've called customer service and while the CM was very nice and took all my info again, still no special passholder emails. No Mickey Monitors either. I don't hold much hope for getting the MB email.

Not to worry.

There's little doubt that once the rollout begins, a guest will be able to initiate contact with Disney with a log-in or phone call, and have bands sent out.

Also, there will be thousands of guests who won't get their bracelets in advance (for whatever reason.)
The bracelets will also be available by the tub-load at WDW locations.

Yes, I'm curious as to how the APs are handed out. We bought ours (first timers) on the DVC promotion last Dec and did not plan on picking and activating until our trip in late July. All we got was a conf # to give guest services when we arrived.

I wonder if my purchase info is lined up with my travel info (prob not) and we would be contacted. If hate to get there and only have the limited grey bands some people are saying would only be avail at GS (from other threads).

If you get the magic bands instead of the ap ticket media. How do u get fast passes?

Like I saw at Epcot u can trade in the regular pass for the bands.

I would hate to upgrade to the magic band and then not be able to get fast passes

Anyone?

The bands are not being handed out in Epcot, only RFID ticket media. Bands are coming later--no one knows when.

Dumb question. the RFID ticket media, do those tickets still work to get the fast passes?
Is the only advantage the wait in line to get into the park with the rfid ticket media?

I saw somewhere else people are having problems accessing the ap website.
Are there any other issues with the rfid and the APs?

TIA, its much harder to find time to find out all this stuff with a little one at home

The RFID APs they're handing out now have a magnetic strip on them so they can be used with the old-school FP machines. Once the bands are launched, the old-school FP machines will go away because the bands won't have a magnetic strip.

Yes, not being able to log into the AP Web site is a known issue with the RFID APs, though some have said if your AP is registered before you convert it, you might be able to access the Web site.
