AP holder and DDP???

Can anyone direct me to information regarding annual passes and the DDP? I think I've read something about having to book a room at a regular rate versus a discounted AP holder rate?

Would it really save money to pay as you go and buy a Tables in Wonderland card vs DDP? I love the ease of the dining plan!!

AP holders can book a paid dining plan with a ticketless package. It would follow all the rules of a package ($200 deposit, balance due 45 days before arrival date, penalties and change fees if within 45 days of arrival). The room portion of the package would be booked at the AP rate or AP special promo rate if in effect.

If a free dining offer is available even AP holders would have to book a package that includes the room at rack rate and 2 day tickets for everyone 3 years and older in the room.

We like the TiW card because we can order whatever we wish and not worry about ordering according to the rules of the dining plan. It fits our dining preferences for TS meals rather than CS and ordering appetizers, sharing entrees and fewer desserts.

Thanks so much for the info! I guess a lot of it depends on promotions at the time. There are so many ins and outs to things!

We are AP holders, and take part in the free dining at least once a year. We use the 2 day ticket to renew our AP. Many argue about the math, here is how it works for us.

In Sept., four of us are booked for POFQ for 9 nights of free dining. Figuring a modest OOP rate of $20 each for food per day, we would have needed a %50 off rate to have made a room only even close to cheaper, and I guarantee we will eat much more than $20 worth of food.
