But it'd be incredibly cruel, too.

I think we're better than that, at least on these boards.
Actually, there was one. It was called "People of the Park". And it had everything you mentioned above.

Again, there is a rule against wearing a costume on on party days, if you are an adult. Anyone who disregards it and wears the thing anyway, looks dumb, IMO.

And I really hate the term "Pooh sized". Calling being fat a cutesy name doesn't do anyone any favors. No, fat people in clothes that cover them don't look ridiculous. Fat people in clothes that bare everything do.

Wow Im kinda shocked at the turn this thread has taken! Are we adults or children here. Sure we probably all have thought some things about people that have been said here but we shouldnt voice some of those things it's just mean. I have been working real hard lately to not even think mean things about others.

Im usually having such a good time in the parks that I dont even notice what others are wearing. Except when women wear heels (which I have seen several times) and then Im thinking "How are they're feet not killing them"

Costumes sure, but where's the line between costume and fun dress? That polka-dot Minnie dress you bought at Mouse Gear, is that a costume? What if you add ears? When does it cross the line?

When is a princessy dress just a princessy dress, and when does it become a costume? There's a beautiful woman in my own town who habitually dresses in Victorian style, with gloves and button boots. She wears them shopping! Is she in costume, or is this just how she dresses? Should she be banned from Disney because her dress is 200 years out of date?

Adults are absolutely allowed to wear pirate makeup and hats and costumes on any day they like at the Magic Kingdom. Disney sells Pirate Makeovers to adults, without any problem at all.

And I solemnly promise to never call YOU "Pooh sized". I reserve the right to call other people that, though, if that's what they like. Even if you think it's bad for them.

I'm sure some kids were scarred that night. I know even I have never quite looked at Tink the same. Lets just say his tutu was really, really short and his family jewles were pretty much seen by all plus the costume gave him a bad wedgy in back. I was shocked that the CMs didn't say something to him. Talk about indecent exposure, in addition to just plain bad taste.

Exactly

I'm surprised what other people get so amazingly invested in what strangers are doing/saying/wearing. I'm on vacation, I don't care unless they are actually bothering me.

I've been on the Dis long enough to know that we are ALL children!

And I agree about the heels! I wear loafers and some days my feet are killing me in the parks! If I wore heels, I wouldn't get past the Emporium in MK without pain!

Except woman in question did not wear costume, she wore a long dress, maybe it was princess style but it is name of the style, not related to Disney princesses at all. For whatever reason she felt like wearing one, she is not more dumb then anyone else who wears something just for Disney.

I wear Mickey ears in the park.

I wear Reindeer ears at Christmas

If I could, I'd wear a Princess outfit into the parks at least once during our trips!
