using dvc points in disneyland

hi, we where going to rent points for a stay in wdw but we would like to do the disney cruise from los angeles so we wondered if the akl points can be used in disneyland hotels, sorry if this has been asked before but i searched and couldnt find any info, renting points is very new to us so not sure how it works, thanks for any advice susie

Yes, but the only Disneyland hotel I would recommend renting point for would be the DVC Villas at Grand Californian. There 50 two bedroom lock-off units (meaning at most, 50 studios and 50 one bedrooms), so availability is very limited for the DVC in California. The per point rates for non-DVC hotels, both at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, is quite high, and you'd likely get just as good a deal paying cash.
