What rides can we ride with an 8 month old???

We are planning our child's first trip to Disney this December. He/she will be 8 months old then. What rides can we all ride together as a family? Please help, we need to make our decision if we want to go and I need to convince my hubby it is a good idea to go with an 8 month old. Thanks for your help!

Isn't Disney World just a people trap operated by a mouse? :)

It's A Small World, I believe is for all ages! Not really sure about anything else, but that's one I'm pretty sure about.

And remember Disney's not all about the rides! It's experiencing the magic.

How much Fun....

We took aour Daughter when she was 6 months old. There is lots to take them on. She did:
* Its a Small World
* Peter Pan
* Snow White
* Winnie the Pooh
* Haunted Mansion
* Cinderellas Carousel
* Country Bear Jamboree
* People Mover ( TTA)
* Jungle cruise
* Pirates Of carribean
* Carousel of progress
* Hall of Presidents ( Cool and you can take a nap)
* Paddle Boat

Character meet and greets at the Toon town tents.

There was so much to keep busy, yet relaxed. My Daughter even loved all the shows and Parades.
She had such a good time and so did we. We are going again for her 3rd Birthday and this will be her 4th trip. we fined it so easy with a little one and surprisingly Relaxful ???? Who would have thought?
Have a great time.

Quite a bit

Our son was 4 mths on his first trip. As above there are many! Just plan on split up days thus needing a Park Hopper if you wish to leave one and come back to another. Mine enjoyed the afternoon nap and the pool. You also can utilize Rider Swap to insure both of you get to ride the Bigger Faster rides. Basically allowing one of you to return and go Fast pass entrance as opposed to waiting in line again! I was to unsure, but thanks to my little ones patience and our planning all family enjoyed trip!

You can ride anything without a height requirement plain and simple.

There are many rides you can take the baby on. We went two years ago when our youngest was 8 months old and she had a blast!! And yes, use the parent swap for the bigger rides that you and dh want to ride.

Our ds9 was 4 months on his first trip. A front carrier is really helpful for the rides. Otherwise he rode around in his stroller. I agree with AP.

He rode all the rides and then we'd give him lunch, he'd nap in his stroller and we'd eat our leisurely lunch and go through the shops.

They let you keep your DS in the carrier while you were riding the rides?

Wait you mean your making the plans and you haven't delivered yet

OK I'm over that now.....

You will not get the most of your trip but you can experience a lot of the shows, parades, and sitdown rides. Diner will be interesting.

You don't mention any other kids so its not like you will be taking any time away from the older one to tend to the baby.

I could never convince anyone Not to go.

Congrats on the upcomming little Disney baby.

LOL I'm 7 *weeks* pregnant, and can't wait to bring the little one. (God willing of course) But then again we've already done it many many times with DD2.

Ok. Maybe not. Thinking about September 2011. How about sending us a code, Disney?

I don't have much to contribute but I wanted to post with my funny story. People seem surprised you are planning a trip for a baby that's not born yet...

we were planning ours before we even conceived our second child. And actually, we used the dates we wanted to go to help us determine when we needed to conceive... flash forward over 12 months.... we will be taking our 5 month old son and almost 3 year old on the 31st! It's our first family vacation and we are SUPER excited!!

Don't forget the railroad! That was a favorite of my daughter. She was 11 months old when we first went. We did pretty much everything in Fantasyland minus the tea cups. She might have sat out on Dumbo also. Her hands down favorite was Pooh Bear. We had to ride over and over and over again! Pure Baby Bliss!

We did the teacups w/ our 7 mth old. Will be doing it again w/ our 4.5 mth old. Just don't spin it crazy. We rode everything besides the bigger rides

We did so much with our DS at 8 months, but not nearly as much as we did when it was just the two of us. We also had grandparents (booked in different hotels) there to help us out

Anyway, if there's no height requirement your baby can ride it We actually rode Dumbo for the first time ever, even though DH and I have been to WDW 10 times!

We also booked our trip while he was in utero - we are DVC and need to book 11 months in advance :D

You can go on any ride that doesn't have a height restriction. DS was 13 months at the time and loved It's a Small world. That was by far his favorite.
