Robin Thicke

I just can't get past the Alan Thicke similarity. He looks like him, he sounds like him when he speaks. When he sings I just picture the Seavers sitting on that couch.

I suppose his target audience is young enough that they don't remember Growing Pains?

Well his father, aside from the acting thing, was a very talented musician and songwriter. So I guess lots of stuff runs in the family, but yeah he does look SO much like his father.

What kind of stuff does he sing? He was a guest on something recently (maybe Idol or the Voice?) but before that I had never heard of him. Upon seeing him and then hearing him speak, there was zero doubt that he was Alan Thicke's son. He favors his dad, but sounds exactly like him.

I still can't get over how he went from shaggy long haired "Thicke" to "Robin Thicke. Major upgrade looks wise, though When I Get You Alone is a great song.

I totally crack up listening to him because he is SOOOO his father. The hair, the voice, the attitude. I saw him for the first time on The Voice and he was very talk show host-y when he was advising. I'm not a big R&B fan so his music is just okay to me, but I just love listening to him.

Saw him on "Live With Kelly" this morning and I thought he sounded exactly like his Dad, but I don't see him looking like his Dad. I don't care for his music. The song he sang on the show this morning started out with falsetto, I can't stand that so muted it.

Robin Thicke is primarily R&B where people LIKE falsetto. And considering that most R&B lovers are about MY advanced age they were alive and well during Growing Pains.

They definitely look alike.
