Anyone use My Fitness Pal?

It's an app that I just got. Since turning 38 all of the sudden my clothes have gotten a tiny bit tight, even though I exercise regularly and watch what I eat (for the most part- I do have an occasional cookie). I'd like to lose 5 pounds, so I have to step it up! It's so great to have something easy with me to log in my food and exercise. It keeps me honest.

I mapped my run today, and it's only 3.2 miles. I never figured out the actual distance before, and I guess I thought it was farther. So now I added a new route, and I bumped it up to 4.5 miles.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else uses it.

My son used it when he started losing weight. It helped him discipline himself until he learned to change his diet. He has lost about a hundred pounds, and I'd say that he used MyFitnessPal for the first eighty.

I WAS using it, and it really helped me keep track of the calories I ate and burned, and while using it I did lose weight. I stopped using it and haven't held myself accountable, so I really do need to start again.

Good luck. Document EVERYTHING.

I use Fat Secret which is similar. It also lets you add your exercise along with food. It's helped teach me portion sizes along with tracking the nutritional make-up of what I eat.

I used it to lose about 50 lbs. I really liked it. It helped me to really see how many calories I was taking in and held me accountable for what I ate.

I use it... so far I am down 36lbs. I have struggled the last couple of weeks but I am back at it.

I've been using it since January and have lost 100 pounds. It's been eye-opening how many calories I consume and burn!

Wow, I am so impressed with how much weight some of you have lost. Good for you! I have been doing so much better already. I stepped up my exercise and I've been eating really healthy. I'm so glad I have this to help me get through the holidays.
It's so nice that it is free! I have friends who have used weight watchers with great success, but I don't want to pay for anything to just lose 5 pounds.
