California Grill - F&W Signature Dinner

Rather than duplicate post (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), I am providing the link to the CG dinner here, for those who want to view the entire meal..... Click here

Update from SSR

I don't know why I thought I would make progress on the Oct report while continuing to rehab my hand here. Probably because I am in the World, alone, and, in theory, should have some free time. Instead, I get up, eat breakfast, go to gym, do elliptical for an hour, do PT for hand for 1.5 hour, go back to room, eat lunch, choose a park, then proceed to take even more pictures, rather than edit, upload and/or post the ones I already have. So it goes.

In deference to the first overcast weather day since I arrived, I will complete the CaliGrill Dinner post before leaving for the gym!

Getting restarted - Magic Halloween Kingdom

Moving right along, this story resumes on October 6 at the Magic Kingdom.

Anne is one of the few travel buddies who is an early riser - you can see from the clock on the railway station that we are taking our first pictures at 7:50 am. I really like this time of day for the relative cool and dry......

We were there SO early, we actually got to ride Peter Pan with no wait - that has happened to me since the 90's.

Just a nice landscape and a fond memory

Anne had not seen Pirates since Jack Sparrow had been added ...

... the red head

... some mighty clean pirates

... and Jack, again

Dole Whip

What is a Disney report without a Dole Whip???

... and the pumpkin that made me laugh

... this picture makes me laugh every time I see it - typical video-game-indifferent-women and their response to Buzz!!

Actually, my meds had worn off and I was thinking about where to find the nearest water fountain. In no time, I was "back"

Street decorations

My chef-buddy

Main St decorations

Dapper Dans singing "Main St USA"

Birthday Breakfast - Tonga Toast!!

My uncle and aunt picked us up for Mass, then drove us over to the Polynesian for Tonga Toast (on Anne's really-would-like-to-do list):

Uncle and TT

I have fond memories of Tangaroa Terrace and Tonga Toast, back in the day - but it is more sugary than my current tastes, so I ordered the .....

Macadamia nut pancakes

Birthday Cupcake, compliments of Kona

Family & Friends (Ohana) at Disney - nice!!

You can still the the bruise from surgery on my arm (they use sonar to locate the 4 nerves to deaden the arm - this picture is nearly 3 weeks later!)

Took this picture to send to my mother, for her birthday 2 days later (this is her brother)

Just taking pictures around the resort......

Anne

Flowers

Really like this picture - uncle in focus - the ladies slightly out of focus so cheerfully smiling

Very nice, relaxing morning! Up next, Birthday Dinner - where else - VnA!!
