Our favorite was the martini tasting it was the BEST money we spent all cruise. We had the most amazing time. My hubby and I have been in the hospitality industry for a combined 30 yrs. We've both tended bar in our early years...they are well done, informative, SO fun. Of course how fun depends on your tasting crowd. For example our first martini tasting the crowd wasn't as fun as the second but we met an amzazing gentleman at the first that we sat and chatted for almost 3 hrs after the tasting having a blast with the staff at Meridian. It was so much fun we went back for the second one later in the cruise. Better crowd, but more crowded, so fewer drinks left over to pass out lol. In reference to what you get for the price, I totally think it's worth it. You get to try different things plus our bartender Novak was really amazing. He's been ranked #3 show tender in the world....he really has the touch. His espresso martini and chocolate martini are delicious. He is so knowledgable about alcohol and the art of mixology it was really an honor to chat with him all week. He's still in Meridian for a few weeks with Cynthia and Roxana, but will be moving on to rotation in Skyline. We saw people special requesting his drinks from the MDRs!!! Amazing. As for the champagne tasting we skipped it because they weren't really anything out of the ordinary, we'd had all of the champagnes they were trying except maybe 1. The cognac and tequila are also very "worth" it for what you get we spoke to a number of people who raved about the information on the different types etc.
