Which one of these options - opinions required !
Hi everyone,
Ok we are going to book tonight just want peoples views on which option is 'best' Background - 2 a, 3c - 15,3,9. shuttles/rer will be used as we dont drive. We are buying Ap's (Fantasy) blockout days are 8th/9th Dec Option 1 4 nights 9th Dec -13th Arriving in Paris 12-1pm then rer down so will be 2-3pm Staying at Explorers Hotel Option 2 5 nights 8th Dec - 13th Arriving in Paris 7pm then rer down so 8-9pm Staying at Residhome Prestige Val d Europe Both come in at the same sort of price, cant use Ap's on 8/9 so would do Val d Europe/shopping on those days. Residhome is further away but easy to get to - but will cost money to parks unless of free shuttles however its an extra night away but wont get there till late. Staying 'away' from Disney might stop us eating in the park so much as we could eat at the hotel. Not sure what to do?! |

I think Id go for option 1 like you say your AP arent valid till the 10th anyway and Val d Europe isnt great. It would only kill 4 hours or so at most.
Explorers is a nice hotel and we felt really close to Disneyland, the shuttles were as frequent as Disney hotels. If you were gaining a day or so in the park with option 2 Id be tempted but this doesnt appear to be the case. |

You dont have to lose one of the blockout dates as if you are buying . making your APs permanent you can gain entry on a blockout day.
e.g the 23rd of October is a blockout day on my friends AP. She only has a temporary one at the minute so on October 23rd she will gain entry to DLP to validate her AP and can then spend the day in the parks regardless of the fact that its a blockout day. HTH

Option 1 - Arrive in the afternoon and go straight into the parks with your AP"s
When you say arriving in Paris do you mean at Gare du Nord with the Eurostar or at the CDG airport ? Shops aren't open at Val d'Europe on Sunday except for the designer "outlet" part - which to most Europeans isn't interesting price wise Saturday night you have the supermarket open until 22.00. I wouldn't pay an extra night over there and I would have thought the Explorers would be better all round |

Eurostar - Just booked now ! Interested in the above view regarding the blockout days and buying/swapping the AP on that day. Next problem is promparcs says there is an error with our debit card ! Not sure why, phoned Barclays and they say its not blocked, defo enough money on it and our adress on promparcs is the same as the debit card address... |

Re the RER - One way tickets from Paris (GduN) to DLP are 7,10€ adults (anybody over 10 is an adult ), your 9 yr is half price - 3.55€ and your 3 yr is free

I would have picked option 1 too - the Explorers is a great place to stay.
