I'm getting as bad as Peg....sorry everyone, real life seems to have a way of disturbing my dis time. Now where were we, ahhh yes, we were off to Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. We arrived about 10 minutes before our ADR time and the place was packed. This would be the first time we would be eating here since the characters have gone. I was actually shocked at how full it was, I guess I thought it would be a little slower without them, but I was wrong. This would be the longest wait time of our trip to be seated. It ended up being over 30 minutes from our ADR time, but hey, we were in Disney, others in the restaurant didn't have this same frame of mind I'm afraid to say. Great entertainment for us....do people not realize how ridiculous they look when they're screaming at a young lady at the front because of their lack of knowledge to make ADR's. One woman absolutely blew me away. She was out of control. I looked at Jasmine and said "Remember, you always get more with sugar than salt"...before the words were out of my mouth, they were seating her...and may I add she had NO ADR. Jasmine's head almost spun around, she was feeling very sorry for the young lady at the front, but I explained to her that sometimes in the service industry you must remove these people so not to disturb your other guests....inside though, I was seething....someone needed to teach her some manners!! Ok, I'm better now, on to dinner......

Peg and her beauties patiently waiting to be called

Ok, I had nothing better to do so I also took a close up

MM modeling her gorgeous dress that she got while in Disneyland in March, isn't she just the cutest little thing?

We had a table not too far from the front.....here is Geodoc and Mini Montana

Peg and Snow

Jasmine and me

MM being her mischievious self....Peg says she is me through and through, I think she may be right, but I still think she's perfect

Jasmine took this castle pic...she's very proud of the 10 pictures she took on this trip...oh sorry, did that sound bitter. She kept reminding me we were using her camera and I kept saying "we" when are you gonna start so I can enjoy the sights...yeah, didn't happen

As you can tell by now I didn't take any pictures of dinner this evening. I must admit, Peg was the one that almost always remembered to take the food pics, I was not so good. I leave you with some shots as we were exiting the park, they are not great and it was a really crowded evening as both Spectro and Wishes were on. We had decided before we left that we wouldn't be staying so we just slowly made our way out of the park after another glorious day in the World.

Great update Queen! It's hard to teach your children manners and respect when they see obnoxious people get their way. I feel sorry for the poor girl at the front that took the tongue lashing. I suspect it can be REALLY hard to maintain the Disney magic when you have someone screaming at you. Would you recommend going back to LTT now that the characters are gone? We haven't been back since then either. Hope you have a great day today!

I still love LTT, I think it's the family style Thanksgiving/Christmas type meal they serve that just makes me happy!! I completely agree about the manners thing, I just shake my head sometimes at people at think, "If that was your child, would you want someone screaming at them" Jasmine kept giving me that, Please don't get involved and embarrassed me look, so I didn't, but I really had to fight the urge!!!

Thanks for the pixie dust I am going to do my best to get there in January, we've been in Oct, Nov, Dec, and Aug but never January, so I'm looking forward to it. I went online and booked dining just in case we go...I do enjoy our TS meals.

Hope you have a great time in Fargo.

Never been to the liberty tree. It lost my interest when it lost the characters.

As you said, "another glorious day in the World"!

Too bad about the rude people in line - its so annoying when you encounter people like that, especially at Disney

Love MM's polka dot dress, its adorable

Bummer!!! I hope you can get there in January but I totally understand if you can't. But whenever you do get there I hope you'll put me on your calendar. From what I could tell of your pics, there's a whole 'nother side of Raglan Road you must experience and I'm just the Irish girl to show it to ya! We'll send the kids off exploring DTD and we'll maybe learn some new pub songs (but knowing us, we'll probably be making them up as we go).

I can't believe it's almost here either. I have soooooo much left to do! I stayed up past midnight last night working on fish extender gifts. But, for better or worse a week from today I'll be at Castaway Cay and Serenity Bay. We're watching the weather but it's gonna have to be one helluva storm to keep me away from SB if the boat does dock. LOL

Great pictures!!!! And great update. Yes, you are getting as bad as Peg, but that's wonderful for those of us who are also soooo busy that we find it hard to pop by and check out the update. So it kind of works out. Now don't tell Peg I said that, of course.... I can't lose the ammunition of teasing her about when she's going to post another update.

Love that pic of MM modeling her dress!!!

That darling little girlie does look like the mischevious one! Especially in the close up. Bet she's going to end up like my youngest who seems to have learned that charm can get him almost anything he wants. If she does... watch out!

LOL @ Jas giving you that "please don't get involved and embarrass me" look. Now I think I've known you long enough that I can say this with some conviction but doesn't she know that our goal in life as parents is to give them something to tell their therapist about?

Too bad we weren't there with ya. I'm sure you and I coulda took the obnoxious, ignorant, foolish woman! :-)

I'm always stunned when I meet up with rude people there, it just goes against everything Disney stands for in my eyes.....I just keep saying, They don't get it. Feel sorry for them

I agree, she is adorable.

Hypermommy, were you drinking when you posted....that wasn't me that said we may not be coming in January you silly woman....me, you, kids at a park, us at Raglan Road...I am so in!!!!

Oh, you and I would have had a smackdown with that woman....and then we would have had a cocktail or two!!!

I agree, doesn't everyone talk to their therapist about how their mother messed them up? Really, we're just ensuring there are jobs for them, it's our duty!!!

5 glorious days under your on your "ship of dreams" oh my friend I wish you the best trip and enjoy your family time...these moments we never get back...now I'm weeping and I have to take Jas to her ortho appointment. Will chat with ya later

I am still on holidays this week so I am intending to get this trip report pretty much completed!! When Peg has time, I'm sure she'll add on at some point. So this brings us to Tuesday August 18 and we were having a relaxing resort day with a private photo session at noon and then an afternoon at DTD.

We had decided before we left home that we wanted to do the private session and use some of the pictures for Christmas cards and presents for our parents. When we were trying to decide which resort to use we finally realized we would be crazy not to do it at AKL...we wouldn't have to travel anywhere in the Florida humidity and it just seemed easier for all so that's what we did.

We started our day with breakfast at Boma, there is something to be said about just taking an elevator down to eat at our fav restaurant. The server we had was ironically Canadian. She was from New Brunswick, the province both Peg and I were born in, so we chatted about that and had a lovely time with her, she was wonderful. After breakfast we headed back up to our rooms to shower and get ready for our session.

I would highly recommend this. The pictures are beautiful and I think well worth the price considering you get the disc with all the pics too! Peg does have the disc so we'll have to rely on her to post them hopefully in the near future.

Geodoc took these pictures after our session was complete and we were enjoying these wonderful chairs. It had started to rain at the end of our session so we were just enjoying the lobby area.

Mini Montana doing a craft with one of the wonderful cast members at AKL

We then all boarded the bus to DTD...it was a shopping day...Peg and I do love shopping at DTD. As you can see it was still raining but I decided to capture some shots anyways...as you can tell, it was pretty empty at DTD.

My absolute favorite store at DTD, the Christmas store. This wall was filled with Tinkerbell ornaments and if you remember from previous posts, Jasmine's new BFF.

Jasmine with the blanket she was about to purchase...once again Tinkerbell

Jasmine next to the candy dispensers at Goofy's Candy Company. I soon learned it's easy to spend a fortune in this store. Easy gifts to bring home if you don't know what to bring people...the boxes or pretzels, choc or nuts are delish

Some shots around the store

Everything in this store is extremely tempting.

Couldn't resist this picture of the rice krispie Mickey, it was $49.95 and no I didn't purchase it lol

Jasmine outside the store

World of Disney store...my other favorite store at DTD

Using the zoom across the lake

We did stop into Ghiradelli's a few times on this trip...but we split something everytime!

Margarita bar...I enjoyed a few of these on this trip

Jasmine tried this tiara on at Arribas Bros. not the best pic of her but wanted to show you this gorgeous tiara

This day would bring us all the AK again. We did the usual sprint to EE to get FP's and ride stand by before we headed to Dinoland. The girls had decided today that they would get their faces painted (all except MM, she is not the least bit interested in having her face painted or going to BBB) so that's what we would do
.

Snow white starting the face painting process

Jasmine waiting her turn

Jasmine's transformation begins

The lady doing Jasmine's face takes a moment to admire her handiwork

SW almost done, her lady did an amazing job

Jasmine completed...not as bold as SW's but for Jasmine that was ok

Getting ready to ride Dinosaur

T=Rex outside the ride

Entryway into the ride

Waiting in line to ride faces painted and all

Before boarding the time machine...I think that's what it's called

We headed back to the hotel for the obligatory swim and rest before heading to Wilderness Lodge for dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe...one of our favorite meals of last year. Here is my beautiful Jasmine all dressed up and ready to go for dinner. She purchased her dress downstairs in the gift shop at AKL...she was so proud of herself that it only cost $20...so was her mother considering it was my money.

Enjoying the boat ride from MK to WL...thank goodness for the wind, it was mightly hot.

Geodoc, MM, and SW....we do love our boat rides

We were off this evening to WL to have dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe...one of our favorite spots last year to eat, I think a lot of that had to do with our server Bob, this year was just ok. They didn't have our ADR when we arrived, this has never happened to us before and the young lady at front was not too pleased when I produced our ADR number, I think she just expected us to leave. We ended up waiting over an hour....not happy. Oh well, we were there and we were waiting to eat.

Here is my gorgeous Jasmine all dressed for dinner in her dress she bought at the gift shop in AKL....this is the picture Thomas carries in his wallet and has framed in his room...one of my fav's of the trip, why do they have to grow up?

As we arrived at WL we decided we were early for our ADR's (should have checked in considering what happened but who knew) so we decided to take in our tranquil surroundings. This is a true architectural wonder in my eyes, I would love to stay here sometime.

Absolutely stunning IMO

It was drizzling as we were walking and we thought it hilarious how the ducks decided to take in a little swim in the pool...the girls were in their glory.

Another shot of the Lodge

Jasmine having a seat as we waited to be called for dinner. We soon decided we may as well wander around and look in the gift shop and take some pictures around the lobby.

Jasmine and Donald this totem pole is so cute and stunning all at the same time

the lobby, so spectacular

Jasmine smooching Donald

Another totem pole

another shot of the lobby...will be ever be called to eat

We were finally seated...thank heavens, we're starving by now....MM and Jasmine

MM saying something, not sure what, but she's saying something

SW in the pony races

everyone except Jasmine ordered the skillet..this is the salad...so yummy

Cornbread....I could eat this and only this....

skillet...yummy

Jasmine ordered some kind of pasta....she said it was ok, I think she wished she had just ordered the skillet.

After dinner, we headed out to catch the boat back to MK, then a bus back to AKL. While we waited on the dock for the boat, the water pagent went by, it's so pretty!!!

Everyone was pretty tired and full by this time so it was back to AKL and our comfy cosy beds!!!

Queen, don't know if we'll be able to have passes for the kids by January. All these moving expenses are putting a serious bite in my Disney budget!! LOL But maybe they can hang out at the pool or tool around DTD a bit while we enjoy the outdoor pub at Raglan Road?

Ahhhh, you found another of my fave places at DTD -- the margarita bar! And the spitting Stitch!!! My guys still loved this last time we were there. Wonder if they're too old for it now?

What a beautiful tiara for your princess!

Cute dress!!! And yes, I can totally understand why Thomas chose this pic as his fave. Well.... maybe he could have chosen the dollar bill in the bathing suit picture, but I think this one presents his beloved in a better light.
